General Discussion / Help with 3d model extraction

I've been wanting to do some 3d printing for a personal project, I've been replaying the game recently and wanted to see if i could make some statues of the battle models with poses.

So far I've been using my old install of FFvii on the PC
Used ulgp_v1.2.1 to extract the battle LGP file
Trying to use Biturn to convert the .p files to obj

The problem I've got is Biturn doesn't seem to preserve the model skeleton / pose and it's difficult to find the correct parts for each model.

Can anyone help with this?

I'm trying to find a way to extract the 3d models from xenogears for a project and a bit of research. Has anyone managed to do this yet?  If so what did you use?

Completely Unrelated / what psp for ffvii

I held off buying a PSP as I am more of a DS fan although i always wanted to play ffvii on the move and id realy like to play the new crisis core game too,

Whats the best psp to play the ps1 emulator on and what else do you need to play it??  I heard the new PSP'smight not be able to play the emulators.

im making a 2D game for my final year project but i havent got time to make my own sprites, at the moment im using zelda sprites but i think i might lose marks for it not being 100% legal/ethical without permition .
 does anyone know where i can get sprites for games? i just need a few people and hopefuly some buildings

also does anyone know where to start for extracting models from ps2 games. theres a few transformers models in this game i wanted to try to extract

 i wanted to install win 98 on a partition so i can still play my old games and still use software for windows, since im at uni i need vb.net, jcreater and other windows based software, i was thinking win 98 over xp since to me its the lesser of two evils

but which version of linux would be better, there are loads of versions and differant ways to install them, i wanted one with a whole package open office etc

i know its a broad question but id like to change soem of the 3d models on ffvii, but dont know where to start, i know theres loadss of software roun dhere but i dont know what they do or how to use them, i wanted to take models out of Ehrgeiz and try to put them into ffvii

General Discussion / chocomog missing on disk 3

ive played through the game and now im going back getting all the stuff i went past, i was collecting the last few materia and noticed i havent got chocomog yet. i went to the farm and the chocobo wasnt there?

i cant remember if i picked it up and its got deleted some how or if i just forgot about getting it

i looked it up as much as i could on google and nothing said it was just on disk 1 and 2 so i dunno whats happend to it.

                     any ideas?

i played 7 years ago when i came out on the psx and im pritty sure i had a gameshark code to get the whole set of charactors without replacing any

Q: is there a way to get aries and seph in the team on the PC version without replacing any of the other charactors?

ive been playing FFvii on my pen drive but its got no movies and low resolution,
so ive been thinking of putting th game on a DVD and runnign the save gams off my pen drive or a floppy disk,
but im not sure how to tell the game to search for the save files on either of the other drives since the install info is in regestry settings and i dont want to reinstall the reg setting every time i want to play

any easy way to get round this?

also off subject has anyone got the roms from the mobile phone games? i know they go online but would be a start

has anyone come up with programs for these 2 solutions

a save game editor to re arrange saves in the 10 save slots,

a way to play the FFvii game onthe Pc in a window instead of full screen

both would help a lot with gameplay
