The difference is, that mine keep to the original and enhance as much as is possible without taking ANY detail away.  Whereas his get rid of all noise and with it, make the FMV look like plastic.  It is a personal preference.  I prefer to keep the original, even though it has more noise, to removing the noise with detail.

There is another guy somewhere who has done an even better job (noise reduction vs original), but I don't think he has completed them all yet.

There is no sound issue that is why.  The problem lies in aalis driver, and unless I go uni for 5 years, I am afraid that is a problem I cannot fix.  If there was a problem then I would have fixed it.  Sony vegas doesnt make mistakes with codecs, but aalis driver is not infallible and cannot possibly be fool proof on all systems.

To sum up, there is nothing wrong with the FMV, but there is something wrong with your compatibility with aalis driver.  That is either his issue, the library he uses for playback, or your settings and system or a combination of those.  It is not the FMV. If it were the problem,it would be there when you play it in a normal player wouldn't it and I would have the problem wouldnt I.

And the suggestion the other guy made is sound.  Download it and then extract what you needed separately, problem solved.

Well, since I am using the same driver version as you, the same FF7 as you, the same exe as you, and so are most people, and it has no issues for them.

The only variable is your system or your setup.  That is a fact.  I am not saying it is definitely your fault, I am saying that the problem lies at your end.  And it does.  How many people are on my thread complaining that the FMV do not work at all, and how many have downloaded them?

That tells the tale. It could be anything, your system, your video drivers and compatibility with Aalis driver, but there is 0 wrong with my FMV.

Firstly my FMVs should work for everyone with a decent setup and system.  Secondly, remix has a ton of issues and you are better off installing mods separately.  It is out of date.

Now i confess this might be laziness on my part but is there any easy way for me to make sure the hardcore mod stays compatible with the retranslation project (which alters scene.bin text only)?  If not an easy way... any way?

8232
Unless you can speak Japanese to a high level :P no.

If using my font, best option is to use touphScript which will sort it.  Check the ini file that comes with it and the readme :)

The game only supports choice and space and tab.  You have to use those.

you would have to ask the author about changing the limit, there is probably a few complications, plus 30000 looks good.  Thanks for the info.

I just checked, the rest of the character name inputs are working fine for me. Weird that they'd have something different for chocobos, but what do I know?

It is because Chocobo names are 6 characters so they had to create 2 separate name areas.  Poor code to begin with actually. I have fixed the issue already.

I will make it even more obvious :P

It was you who started the ad hominem dude, and it generally always is ;)  We always seem to keep coming back to what I did (all for nothing hmm) over a year ago too, where you are concerned.  regardless yes, I think you having me on ignore as well will be great.\

While we are at it, your friend Jari tried sabotaging the forum, and don't think I am that stupid that I don't know what you are about as well.  2 peas in a pod.

8243
kud, we arent stupid.  It is clear to see that you were the first to try baiting and you did it blatantly, and then when a mod gets pissed you claim it is a conspiracy and bad 'ol seifer needs banning cause he shouldnt be here.

Get real.

8244
Oh please, not that one again.  If you are shoving something that is proven to be harmful into any lung, it is not a good thing.

8245
BY that token I guess I shouldn't tell you to murder or not and you should be allowed to get on with it?

Doesn't work that way.  If you want to do it, I have no problems as long as you sign a form that every illness related to smoking you must pay for out of your own pocket and not tax.  The other issue I have is that smoke harms others, and will your own kids if you have them and smoke near them.

There is no such thing as second had liver disease (alcohol)

but the harm it does cause, is negligible

What don't you understand about research and logic that suggests it is just as bad (and worse in some areas)?  That it is pumping hot air and chemicals into the lungs?  It isn't negligible.  Your argument is based on a rosy picture created by your hope that you are right when you aren't.

They said these exact same things about Tobacco 40 years ago.  What is a hard to grasp here?  Either you are right, and pumping hot smoke into your lungs is cool, or I am right, and it isn't.

Dark Side of the Moon is the greatest album of all time.

8248
There is a degree of dragon association with his weapons too.  Like the Dragon Guan Dao :)  They have kind associated the dragon with him, or more correctly, they have associated Chinese with him somewhat.

The same thing with Yuffie who is a mix of Japanese and Chinese with regards to limit breaks, weapons and home town.

First off, Marijuana does almost no harm whatsoever when smoked.

I stopped reading there.  I refer you back to what I said about how the users of the drug like to believe in the best outcome, but the truth is pumping thousands of chemicals and hot smoke into your lungs cannot be anything other than dangerous to ones health.  To believe otherwise is crazy.  MY own mother's lungs were crippled by the drug, do not tell me it is OK.
They said same thing about Tobacco too....

There is a public perception that marijuana smoking has little adverse effect on physical health.

Regular smokers of cannabis are at increased risk of developing the potentially fatal lung disease emphysema, claim doctors based in Bristol.

Dr Martin Johnson said in the journal Thorax: "Smoking three to four marijuana cigarettes per day produces a comparable histological effect on the airways to smoking 20 tobacco cigarettes daily.

Even short term use of cannabis can damage the lungs of young people, say researchers.

But they know nothing, and my first hand experience means nothing.  Of course, you will one day realise you were wrong ;)

When people have to resort to direct attacks on an individual in debate, they have lost credibility...  I am done here :P

Oh and I am all for you smoking cannabis if you all go to 1 island and stay there.  I don't want affected by your behaviour or have to foot your lung bills.  We have enough problems in the world without adding another one (cannabis being legal) to it.
