I will test, if this is true and fill all the blocks with a save file.

Edit:
It is as I said the blocks need a save file.

Yep. I can confirm this. 1.55 has never crashed for me but i have all save blocks filled. I pulled my saves out and the game did indeed crash at startup.

Hello my name is Paul, I'm new to Qhimm. I also had the same problem with the new version(Starting fresh with one save file so far). Reverted back to 1.54 until its sorted out. Thanks for the info.

PS Thank y'all so much! Played this game when I was 9 years old for the first time, I'm 28 now. Everyone's work here is extraordinary, keep it up . I know there has been many countless hours of work to get the final product we see today, and I'm very grateful that I get to experience this game like never before. Especially the W.I.P. Echo S project... BLOWS MY MIND. (The official Remake won't be the same game, I'm not that excited about it besides being able to rip some of the resources from it when it comes out)

New update v1.52: https://mega.nz/#!aQdXiZYA!aJnVbQH5kWSi5sC6QMdgPmjKmhfUdsP-87R70j90ub4

-Support audio preview (e.g. for music mod) in config screen
-Support tags in XML to specify load order rules, to say a mod should come before/after other mods

1) Audio preview files:

Add a attribute 'PreviewAudio' to your Option tags, e.g.

Code: [Select]
<Option Value="0" Name="Orchestral" PreviewFile="preview\orchestral.png" PreviewAudio="orch\jukai.ogg"/>
<Option Value="1" Name="Lifestream" PreviewFile="preview\lifestream.png" PreviewAudio="ls\ayasi.ogg"/>

The file must exist in the mod of course. The audio does not play automatically, but the user can click a button to preview what that music sounds like.

Audio previews work with a folder import, but unfortunately they do not work with an IRO import. When you click the preview button, 7H will crash:

Code: [Select]
System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: baseStream
   at NVorbis.BufferedReadStream..ctor(Stream baseStream, Int32 initialSize, Int32 maxBufferSize, Boolean minimalRead)
   at NVorbis.BufferedReadStream..ctor(Stream baseStream)
   at NVorbis.VorbisReader..ctor(Stream stream, Boolean closeStreamOnDispose)
   at NAudio.Vorbis.VorbisWaveReader..ctor(Stream sourceStream)
   at Iros._7th.Workshop.fModConfig.bPreview_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\Code\7H\7thWorkshop\fModConfig.cs:line 146
   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
   at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

ficedula, can you look into fixing this?
