Yep. I can confirm this. 1.55 has never crashed for me but i have all save blocks filled. I pulled my saves out and the game did indeed crash at startup.

Hello my name is Paul, I'm new to Qhimm. I also had the same problem with the new version(Starting fresh with one save file so far). Reverted back to 1.54 until its sorted out. Thanks for the info.

PS Thank y'all so much! Played this game when I was 9 years old for the first time, I'm 28 now. Everyone's work here is extraordinary, keep it up . I know there has been many countless hours of work to get the final product we see today, and I'm very grateful that I get to experience this game like never before. Especially the W.I.P. Echo S project... BLOWS MY MIND. (The official Remake won't be the same game, I'm not that excited about it besides being able to rip some of the resources from it when it comes out)

-Support audio preview (e.g. for music mod) in config screen
-Support tags in XML to specify load order rules, to say a mod should come before/after other mods


1) Audio preview files:

Add a attribute 'PreviewAudio' to your Option tags, e.g.

The file must exist in the mod of course. The audio does not play automatically, but the user can click a button to preview what that music sounds like.

Audio previews work with a folder import, but unfortunately they do not work with an IRO import. When you click the preview button, 7H will crash:

Hi guys, I am installing textures via this tool, but I think I am going to have an issue in having these work as well as my custom music in ff7music, as I assume I will need to launch the game from the tool for the textures, but then the music wont work, if I launch the game from ff7music I will get the music but not the textures.  So I guess the question is, is there a ff7music to 7thheaven migration path for playlists?

Also how do I find info on each individual mod in the catalogue? the url's all point to the same master 7thheaven thread.

Tool doesnt even seem to work I have downloaded, installed, activated various mods but none having effect in game, I see the live mod folders have no live files placed in them, paths are set correct in settings.  I think I miss the days of manual modding :) things were simpler.

Music goes in vstream folder. I have remastered metal songs I made in mine. Whats cool is if you revert the game back to the steam version, the songs still work.4

Can't get FF7 audio working through 7th Heaven. I have tried multiple installs and things. Would anyone mind hopping in Discord or something to help me out? I mostly want to check out the rest of the mods, but I also can't seem to use the keyboard once I'm at the new game/continue screen. I have to have the audio though. If I install Reunion, everything works perfectly. Guessing I just have some incompatibility somewhere or something.

Sounds like you might not be using the right executable. There is a few different ones that are only compatible with certain mods. Make sure your using the right one and its written in the options.

As far as I know EQ2Alyza has a release candidate of a newer version, but waits as everyone one here, for the next version of the Reunion. Depending on the mod manager which comes with the Reunion 7H needs adjustments. However, I would also like to take a look on both managers and see how compatible they are.

Well, since iros dropped it and it is now (or for a while) open source, I could go on with the project I have started in the past for recreating the UI and implement additional functions or merge existing stuff like the game converter.
