Hello all,
I've been attempting for a bit of time now to download FF7, run the converter, and then work through seventh heaven. However, I'm having issues with the FF7 converter, and I'm unable to solve them on my own. Here is what I've done thus far:

I downloaded the game through Steam, installing it in C:\Games:\Final Fantasy VII\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII in order to avoid the system files

I've also downloaded the FF7 converter and used it as an administrator to no avail. I've pasted the log below.

I've also mounted the appropriate FF7DISC1 iso image in the F drive of my computer.

Any thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

I've tried both hitting enter, which produced these results, and typing the path in, which also produced results similar to this. Sorry if I'm missing something really basic here. This is the first time I've ever attempted to do anything like this  :-\. Your help is greatly appreciated!

it probably hates spaces in the path or something like that

Paul,
Thanks for the advice. I attempted to type in the path without spaces to no avail, and I also deleted the spaces in the actual path on my C drive. I've included quotes in the path, and I've tried without including quotes. Other than the prompt sometimes terminating, I almost always get the same text I posted above each time I attempt to run the converter. I am flummoxed. Might anyone else have any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Might this have to do with Windows 10? I'm struggling to find any other answers at the moment. I'm puzzled that not only can the converter find the install path, it also cannot find the drive I labeled appropriately. I've done a lot of installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling, and regrettably, I'm just stuck. Anyone ever see errors similar to this? Anyway, thank you all for all that you do.

I don't know what to suggest at this point. I use Windows 10 just fine. Perhaps try to uninstall and clean the registry, but I'm doubtful that could be an issue.

That I:\ directory it spits out is strange though. Do you have any drives labeled as I: ?

Thanks for the reply. I don't have any I drives of which I'm aware. I have drives C (main), D (HDD), and E (thumb drive) currently up. I have used mapped drives before all the way through K, but that program is not and has not been active for a while. I'd have hoped the cleaning of the registry would have worked fine, but regrettably, no go. Thanks for the help. Maybe I'll reach out to the creator of the converter?

As an aside, if I can't figure this thing out, is there a decent way to go about compiling the necessary pieces from the converter manually? I'd attempt that if I cannot get this to work. Thanks again!
