game cuts off
« on: 2016-11-05 14:41:31 »
hi, ive used bootlegger back in 2011 to play mods for FF7 and had a few problems with bugs ingame but now using the 7th heaven ive followed all instructions and been fine until i came 2 launching the game, now when i launch it i get a black load screen for 1-2 secs then the game cuts off with no error message

app.log
Code: [Select]

that is the end of the app.log after it gets to initialising sound, ive tried everything i can think of from changing the openGL driver config to disabling the music mod or setting it to no changes for music and sound really stuck on any ideas.
ive tried removing all mods and reg keys to launch the game fresh without mods and it runs but as soon as i install the mods i get the same crash with no error messages

managed to fix above problem by using the converter again to overwrite and changing the audio from genericmidi to yamahamidi for some reason, but not a new problem has popped up when using the ff7_mo.exe to run NT difficulty after clicking launch i get a big error reading

any idea what all this means?

For the first post: run FF7Config and make sure you have a driver selected in the Sound Tab. For some strange reason, it can get unselected during driver updates and most likely will. I'm using the built-in HDMI audio device from my NVIDIA graphics card, and basically every time I install a new driver update, FF7 loses its sound settings. It's bloody irritating when it happens, but easy to fix.
