Thanks for the information Emperor =3
Just one thing >.<
"Ib2-awe" <--- Is this the silence when Cloud fights the real, un-jenova'd Sephiroth ? o-O

I don't think there is a current way to make the PSX videos work on the computer version.. yet.

o-O
Just ripp them to DivX-AVIs with "PSX Multi Converter/PSX_MC" right of the PSX-Discs o.o
This step only provides just a very small enhancement of the quality.
But if you want to, you can edit the movies with a program like Adobe Premiere or Virtual Dub, using some filters (f.e. sharpen).
Takes a long time, 'cause there is no batch-editing =(

Anyway, there are some threads arround here, about this topic ^^

I just want to know what's the difference between the "chu2" and the "comical"-Midi.
According to TF's guide, both should be replaced with the J-E-N-O-V-A.mp3.
When is each file playing and are they really the same ? o-O

4
I'd like to request these files too *~*

5
Aw... my failure >.<
By saying "redone" I didn't mean "made in Advent Children-Quality", instead I'd like to say "higher res/better quality".
Sry, if this was confusing some of you guys.

But there's still one question:
Were all FMVs refone this way ?
Would be so great to rip them and use them in the game =3

Hi guys,
I hope u'll not hate me for opening a new thread about FF7Music.

But it seemed like no1 has looked into the Guide-Thread, where I'Ve posted my problem a few days ago.

Well, this is my problem:
The first track played with FF7Music is fine, but when there should a switch of the BGM (entering battles or walk in another screen) there's silence.
When I'm using Alt+Tab to look after the program it's crashed (''Keine Rückmeldung/No Response'')
I used the way, TF recommend in the Guide-Thread... but it still won't work T__T

Do you guys have an idea, why FF7Music is crashing ? =(
Maybe the in- and out-DLL'S are too old, or so ? o_O

EDIT: Holy crap, the in- and out-DLL's were truly too old and the reason for crashing, too ! O_O
(About 2002 or something @__@)
I've just downloaded a newer version of both files and it runs stable o.o

Hi there,
I've started this topic, because I've heard a rumor about the Bonus-DVD of FF VII Advent Children, that is included only in the "Advent Pieces" Special Edition.

I know that there's a summary of FF VII on it (a MUCH better one, then the short one in the movie)
But now I've heard something new...
There's a rumor about the fact, that this Bonus-DVD contains better versions of the FF VII FMVs o.O
I've seen a screen from the Jenova-tank (I hope this is the correct word o.o) with a much better quality.
So my question is: Have ALL FMVs redone this way ? And are all of them on that disc ?

If they are: I need them for the PC-Version, so a little "tip" where to find in a PM or so would be great >.<

General Discussion / Mystery FMV?
« on: 2006-03-16 12:47:12 »
There's none such FMV on one of the FF VII/PC-CDs or on the PSX-CDs ^^
But there's a hidden ingame-scene when you revisit the ShinRa-Mansion on Disc 3.

edit: Now I've the problem, that FF7 Music hangs up while playing o.O"
Some tracks are doing well, but during some others the program hangs up  and there's a crappy silenceT.T
Guess I'll go crazy because of FF7Music, but I want it that badly T__T"

Doas anyone have an idea why it does hang up ? =(

edit: To fix this problem, u've to use the newest version of the In- and Output-DLL.
Now everything works fine >_<

Damn, I don't get this...

DLL's & Co in the MAIN-Folder

Ficedula-DLL and Music-INI in the "Ficedula"-Folder

All Mp3's are in that folder...

I guess, this is the problem, the spaces in the path >_>

>> So... is there anything wrong on the screens ? =(

Ah... one thing:

I really, really suggest to you guys to visit this site: http://www.ocremix.org
There you'll find probably some of the best music in the web, gameremixes.
For example (mabybe the best track) "'Final Fantasy 6 - Squaresoft Variation" by Jeremy Soule (composer of f.e. Morrowind, NWN, Guild Wars :))

Some tracks (not all, some are to "techno") are great for inserting them instead of the original files.
Highest recommendations:

Final Fantasy 7 Ascension to Cosmo Canyon OC ReMix >> Cosmo Canyon
Final Fantasy 7 Fight On OC ReMix >> Still more fighting
Final Fantasy 7 Acoustic Fireworks OC ReMix >> Interrupted by Fireworks
Final Fantasy 7 A Foray into the Eastern Horizons OC ReMix >> Utai/Wutai
Final Fantasy 7 RedXIIIRedux OC ReMix >> Red XIII's Theme
And some others... check them yourself ^o^

And the AC-edits of some tracks for sure ~.~

edit:
Hard to believe... but, I've a problem .___.
It can't find any files =/
I thought the problem maybe the spaces in the path, so I've copied the files to a second location.
But it doesn't find anything in both folders  -_-

Looks like this:
File search paths:
   C:\Music\
   C:\Programme\Final Fantasy VII\Ficedula\music\
   C:\Programme\Final Fantasy VII\ficedula\
   .\
Files count: 0
Patch init done
----------------------------------------------

Any ideas ? T__T"

Nice guide TwilightFantasy :)

But, after doing it, some MP3s are still the same name.
Means: You forgot some ^^

Shinra Company
Oppressed People
Staff Roll
Reunion

Anyway, thx for your work >.<

btw: Since I'm lazy... could someone post the remaining names ? =(

stormmedia... this is damn, damn good O_O"
I'm very happy, taht there are so many great brains here on this board >.<

But, I'm a little confused Oo
Your edit, for what kind of Patch was it made, Reunion or NPC-RCP ? o.o*
Well, general question: The NPC-RCP-patch overwrites some Reunionfiles, am I right ?
And after that I've to install the stuff of stormmedia, or is this the wrong way ? oO

Um... in The Saints case... did he apply the filtering to the BGs only, or the whole image ? oO
Let's say this HQ2x-Filterthingy is applied over the whole screen... this should create a kind of AA.
Small question: Ehy is there no differene on the BGs when using AA ? They are the same level of "blockyness", or I do something very wrong oO
BTT: I think, that if the filterthingy is applied to the whole screen, it would not isolate single spots on the screen and the artifacts should be gone.
At least, this is my theory o.o
IMO this HQ2X should provide a better (less blurry) image, than any other method like biliniear or bicubic (except the spline-method, 'cuz I think, this filter uses it)

17
Well, I guess this is the 101% better way  :o
Especially because this code could be included in a new HighRes-Patch I think, so there'S no sharing problem with the ~180 MB-felvel-file (or "do it yourself").

18
Thx for the link Otokoshi ^__^

TerakRall tried something else I guess. He wanted to make the images look more blurry, but this would destroy every small details, as you can see on his pics.
The only thing I want to do, is to double the size to 32x32 - same as the Res is doubled from 640x480 to 1280x960.
I think this would help, because the "blocks" come from the (let me call it) "uprendering" to the higher resolution.
So, if the images are already fixed size, the HighRes-Thingy doesn't have to stretch them.
At least I guess, this COULD create less "blocks".

But htere's a little problem... =(
Photoshop supports batch-conversion/edits but it always asks to save every single pic after the editing is done. If I can find out how to avoid this , the program would convert/edit every single pic in a short time. If I don't, I have to click for every single pic the "okay"-button or press enter, which means it will take "just" a few days .___.

btw: Sharing could be done with rapidshare or P2P-networks or so o_O

19
Ah, one thing: Will the "walking-areas" still be correct ?
I'm not sure about this...
Could happen, that the figures walk through a wall or stuff like that... =/

The only thing left to do would be to fix the blocky backgrounds (but ive heard that would be extreamly difficult).

Kinda funny... I just had an idea 'bout this problem, posted in the High-Res-Thread oO
http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?p=69731#69731

BTW: The NPC-RCP is fucking great >.<"

21
Hm... that'S crap =(
But there's still the option to use batch-conversion o_o
S-spline doesn't support this feature, but Photoshop for sure.
PS doesn't have the Spline-option, though, but bicubic should work quite good ionstead.
Bicubic-stretching brings up some blur, but this could be fixed with "unsharp mask" (don't know if this is correct, it's called "unscharf maskieren" in the ger version)
A small contrast-correction should be fine, too. (Sry if this is wrong, I never got that "to <> too"-thing at school .__.)

I don't even know how good the result would be, but I guess it would help a little bit, because the images would'nt be stretched so much during the highres-procedure.

I guess I want to give it a try o.o
So, where are the BG-images stored ?
And: Can I open that file with LPG-tools ? o_o

22
Um... I've a stupid "idea" on my mind...
The backgroundimages do look blocky on 1280x968 atm, so why don't extract them, stretch them with a usefull program like s-spline (best way to stretch an image) and pack them back in a *.lpg-file or whatever ? o_O
Other corrections could made this way to o.o

edit: Hm... I forgot the "walking-areas" >_>
Would be crappy if the characters walk through a wall .__
Or is there a way to strech these areas ? =(.

btw: After playing FF VII/PC with the HighRes-Patch, the ff7.exe is always stuck in the memory, taskmanager shows it =(
Is there a way to fix that ?

Gameplay / BETA - 9999 Limit Breaking support thread

Dzuigo, it is a GREAT job, it'll have a feature that no FF game ever had, FFX could only limit to 99999, but we can do damage as much as we want, the only thing that needs to be changed now is the statistic sytem to unlimtied.

AFAIR in the german version (at least) Anima's Oblivion (called here: "Chaos-D") in the SHORT version brings over 1 million right on the screen, as one number o_o*

My question: Does anyone have problems with the patch in combination with other patches (and there are many, many other patches, like f.e. the hardcore patch, Reunion-Patch, etc.)

And. I'm still working on a german FAQ, so: Will you give me the permission to upload and link the file for that FAQ/Guide, dziugo ? >_<

And ATi-Owners just don't have any chance to get something like this, right ? =(

Short question:

The screen of the game doesn't fit in the monitor...
(About 5% of the screen on the very left site doesn't fit)
Is there a way to fix this problem ?
(Without scaling the monitor in the setup, cuz doing this means doing it twice, each time you want to play)
