That was the original plan (excluding the FL+MC scenes because they were pretty nicely done already) but my college semester starts today so I'll have to see how much work I have.

I started a new game with gjoerulv's hardcore mod... It took me 3h and a half to see tifa at the bar... Never played with that mod before it's insane but I'm getting how it works. Tifa looks great in game thanks bloodshot

« on: 2013-08-28 00:17:49 »
I would like to see those comparatives apz :), As said in the older topics, Cloud was seen like a confident, proud and brave soldier. Maybe to adapt to the "Twilight" Era with  intentions of making money, as always, he was made into that. It's really sad, not only with Cloud, the 90s kids favorite characters were always confident muscular and brave (Goku like), recently they "remade" the Lobo from DC comics
from this:

into this:

Well I read that the "New Lobo" is fake, maybe the fans didn't accept so well

I miss the old days when the things were all blood and fun, I don't think we will see a killing scene like when Aeris dies again (It didn't have blood, but it's a freaking big sword thrusted into her back. I might be mistaken, didn't play FFXIII)

Wow, you're right, I didn't know that, I'm sorry. She looks just like yours at this point of view. Well, from what I can see I don't have anything else to annoy you about. I'll leave it to the experts (Timu), but I don't think there is much more to say about her. She's awesome, you're awesome. :)

I was wrong... the line on the right cheek should've been longer.
Count this in

Yeah, that's what I was going for, I think that would make her jaw/cheeks rounder.

I've compared bloodshot tifa's face with some other artworks and found this

The third and last one from the left, the dissidia one, is more likely to be chosen...

I've also took some measures with the intention to help, not criticize, most measures were pretty similar but others had a small difference.

One difference I found was the eye to eye distance, because the eyes size was increased but it took away some face simetry, leaving the eye to ear distance a little small, or maybe her eyeballs are too much lateral they could be more medial. But this isn't such a big deal.
[I'm not sure what the hell I did at those units but i think they're in inches not meters, sorry I was a little sleepy when I did it]
Generally I think her jaw/ cheeks near the chin area could be a little rounder a little larger (Tifa has sort of a round face after all) and her head is a bit long, I guess that could be fixed rising her nose, mouth and chin a bit.
(I think the head that I took those measures was a little turned to the left, therefore not showing her ear maybe, or not idk).
Still she's already a great model if you wanted to release like that, I definitely wouldn't complain :D, I'm just trying to help some way I can :X instead of just saying, oh great model can't wait when she's gonna be ready and things like that...
[I did using zoom, maybe that's why the unit/ measures are so crazy, but the proportion is right.]

Oh yeah I've seen the michaelcthulu's buster sword before, but it was so long ago I've forgotten... And I agree the sword's appearance is messed up comparing with the other video.

I guess you're right about the belly button but if you look at the original artwork, wich the 3d model was based on, you can see her belly button, so he could drop it to above her belt maybe, or below; not showing it or showing half of it, idk... Tifa's thighs and hip aren't quite large if you think of it, her boobs definitely are, but her lower limbs are quite normal with great curves. So i don't know if it's worth changing it.

Forget everything I said, she's beautiful, great job! Is she going to be a battle model, field model, or both?

I've remember when I've downloaded blender and tried to do something like that (yes, tifa) as a first project, then I've realized how hard all these projects are and how much time and effort they take. I've looked up some pictures and models from tifa to compare and try to point something out to help but i didn't found anything that i could shout out loud (of course I've found a lot of porn in the process, and some pretty weird stuff like fat guys dressed as tifa... it hurts when i remember that).

Maybe you should add some curves to her legs, thin them a little bit, the skirt could drop a little showing more of her belly (as you did in the first pic of your last post :) ), or/and rise her boobs a little (?).

Her face is perfect, please don't take this as any sort of offense to your work, I'm just pointing out what I can see, and trying to help with that. I might just said a lot of crap also, because i don't have the skills neither the experience you guys have at modelling, still i wanted to say that :\
 She's becoming awesome, congrats Bloodshot

Not sure if this is the right session, but still, does anyone knows if the mods will work with the new pc version of the FF7? The "Remake" one with HD graphics released not so long ago... Thanks.

Dammit, if he's doing that he could do the FF text with his eyes closed... Still i bet i'ts much work... that's a shame :(

I'm playing FF tactics in my Xperia X8 with FPse, it's trully the only thing that runs at it because it isn't multitouch... only android 2.2 and higher, I guess, are multitouch and well you can't do much if you can only press one button at time so be sure to have a multitouch smartphone. It lags a bit  but it's playable, don't know about FF7 tough... I guess it needs a better system or software...

Oh and one more thing, I hadn't read all of this topic but I think nobody mentioned what they did with the summons, In X the summoning system was cool, I liked it, it was different but I liked it, but in XII what the fuck just happened here? they are useless  decorative things only, and c'mon a lot of those summons I didn't even known from previous games... perhaps some.

In XIII I saw some reviews and stuff, It seems that Shiva is a bike and Ifrit is a car, Odin a horse... Is that right? Where are those mighty beasts that came with overwhelming power and stroke all the screen with fantastic cutscenes?

FFX-2 was horrible. Pretending it never happened is the only way I can live with myself after playing it.

This right here...
X-2 I'm pretty sure that it was made for girls c'mon clothes changing? only 3 female main characters? this game is a nightmare...
I believe neither the girls liked it, they were probably expecting final fantasy not barbie summer camp or some other shit like that...

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of Breath Of Fire series, from Capcom... That RPG is one of my favorites until The 5th sequell for PS2, it sucked so bad I don't even want to talk about it there weren't dragons and the game is about dragons... and Ryu and the graphics, the battlesystem, the characters, the scenarios ... oh god... Still, the 3rd and the 4rth are simply masterpieces. I Highly recomend in case you're missing some true RPGs...

I agree with most of your arguments, with only one exception.

I believe Resident Evil 4 has evolved, sure it's not scary anymore and may have a poor history and poor puzzles, but the gameplay is much better than the past series, in fact, RE4 for me was so much fun that I completed it six times, one friend of mine done it twelve times. So i agree that the games are becoming shallow but in the case of RE4 you need to agree that the gameplay system is better.

Final Fantasy X-2, was one of my first PS2 games, I used to play PS2 at a friend house until I bought my own ps2, I played FF10 with him, so I did the same shit you did, bought without thinking, in fact, I played nearly 30 hours expecting to somewhere in the game to improve, I was very young then and heartbroken :,<. I bought FF12 and, well comparing to the X-2, the 12 were much better but... not good as X. So I lost my faith around there, after 12 I realized that the sequell that i once loved was dead.

Squarenix is not listening to the fans anymore, or they did some sort of brainwash... On the other hand, nintendo Shigeru Myamoto ALWAYS listen to his fans. when he did Zelda wind waker the fans complained about the graphics, so what he did?
Twilight princess, with the old N64 graphics...

The truth is what everybody already knows, Square enix don't give a damn, they only care about money. So, i sugest, try to find  another games, don't rely in one franchise... Play what you like not what have a nice name. It's trully a shame to watch such an amazing game to die, but it happened.

Bullshit.

Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of The Time, one of the best RPG's ever made were remade to a new version into Nintendo 3DS. The change? Only the graphics, the game remains the same. And I must say, It's gorgeous, I'm trying everyway to play that. The real thing is: Nintendo makes their fans happy while Square-enix don't.

When Nintendo released Zelda Wind Waker, a lot of fans were unhappy about graphics, so what did Shigeru Myamoto did? He made Twilight Princess, a game with cool graphics and mainly with adult link as a protagonist. And besides, they don't need to do only one remake, if they want they can make a remake exactly with the same things only better graphics and then another game as a sequel. It's a game they can do whatever they want with it...
