How, umm, l33t am I.
« on: 2006-05-09 04:07:22 »
I'm actully testing the posting here. Nice to see the forums back.

I was wondering, If you were going to rank the hierarchy of the Qhimm.com staff, where would I exactly be?

Not that I'm stroking my own ego or anything. ^_^

For example, am I l33t enough to have my absolutly incredulous spelling accepted, even when it's in complete opposition to well known forum doctrine. Is this true? or are you guys just too leary to bring it to my attention. (Or is it because I've done it for soooo long, no one even notices any more ;_;)

Anyways. I'm just chatting.

Nope, but we are leery.

Just teasing. :P

Nah, there's big difference between misspelling and not caring at all. Or maybe it's because of your l33tn355. :)

Ahahaha, so not going to answer that. :D

Were you an Moderator? Now it says freak. Depends on where you stand on your current project. If you seem rushed, I wouldn't care. And depends on the subject also.

Oh, no, certainly not the case.
Trust me; I think of your typing every time I see someone else here lash out at someone else’s poor typing.
Not to imply those people don’t deserve the lashing, as their typing is often even worse than yours, but just to point out that I love you.

If I may ignore the current ranking standard... High Mage, perhaps?
You've done some excellent work in the past and I think your rank should reflect that, not just your post count.

am I l33t enough to have my absolutely incredulous spelling accepted
Sorry, I'm not much of a leet speaker/reader (to much effort :P). Oddly, I don't really notice it much myself.

BTW: It can be l33t, 133t, or 1337. While the latter is in a more pure form, all 3 forms are still acceptable. Besides, "1337" wouldn't be as incredulous . Fuck! :-o Why do I even know this!

See, I even made an official medal for you:

That medal is made of win.

Seriously though, it frustrates me to see some people's lack of basic English skills, especially if they are English!

One of those "English"s is not supposed to be capitalized, I think. Though I am not sure which...

Oh, yes they are.

A Little Help with Capitals tells us that

The names of countries, nationalities, and specific languages ...are to be capitalized.

In English, that is. If it was Finnish, neither of them would be. Such is life. :P

It represents a certain level of respect, even if your nationality isn't exactly respectable. For instance, a lot of people whom are from the United States would prefer to be called American rather than american. Plus, if you're going to capitalize where you're from, you might as well capitalize what you are.

By the same logic as captalizing "I" and not "you" works, no doubt. :-P

Didn't this thread start on somone in need of an ego boost?  We've turned it into a grammar discussion!

I wanna know how 1337 I am too, it sounds like something I can boast about... : )
