I'm having a hard time identifying the underwater textures there names wouldn't happen to be ds1 ds2 ds3 ect would they.
And also what would be the best way to view the textures besides bitrun? Thank You. Also  Aali's lgp tools unpack "to some weird folder" but they don't build an lgp database the screen just goes to a prompt and the vanishes...?. What could be the problem.

Underwater sounds like fun best that way you don't have to match up what you did with mine...Also if you would like could you show me how to extract all of the underwater textures and send me a zip or something when you get a chance I'd like to someday figure out how to view the textures that I have done in game.

Well let me know if you want me to do anymore...I am going to stop making jungle for now and let you guys do your thing. Unless you would like me to continue doing jungle.

That looks stunning!!! Just when I was going to unveil another texture for you....awe heck here it is any way I spent a lot of time on this one trying to give the illusion of leaves and trees.

There added a blended boarder and a little bump mapping with some small shadow effect's.
On another note its hard to try and get the palm tree look no matter what I do it looks bad in game flat and unimaginative.

WOW That does look good sure I can  try to do whatever textures you want pyrozen but for future less hassle ability "go with it" how can I help reduce the tile effect I can dim the boarders. 

EDIT Also can you post the orig. forest tex.

Sure its coloa and colob I see you did most of the icon's already. I've made some decent looking materia...Well anyway you guys already have a nice looking set of materia so I don't want to screw it up with my newb materia. I'm just tweaking the ring icon now and the accessory icon.

I'd love to take a stab at it I'm almost finished with the icon's you told me to do but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I might change the way something looks right before its done...Question I noticed that most or all of the icons you told me to do were already done by other people on the forum and they look great why didn't you just use there's for the project.

That would be great guys, unfortunately I am out of town for a couple weeks so I cant find something for you to work on. The only thing I can think of at the moment is the icon for mini and frog for the battle square slots. They are the coloa.tex and colob.tex files in the menu_us.lgp. They would need to be resized to 1024x1024 and then converted to 24 bit. If you are able to find these yourselves then awesome, if not u will have to wait until i can get them and send them to you.

I found the file just fine but...I am sorry if this is off topic but how do you edit TEX files I think its using kimera but its not opening the file?

EDIT: Got It but the icons look like crap! They have almost no color?

I'd love to help I am very good at photoshop but from what I gather you guys are not using that program to redo the background files. I am no good at texturing or coding. I am however a very fast learner and would love to help.

Yes!!!!! I got it!  :-D arew264 THANK YOU! It was my driver I was TOO updated. For everybody having FPS issues related to mine please download driver 177.92 because 186.18 WILL NOT WORK! Thanks again arew264.

Nahatma: It looks like the texture for Barrett's vest is missing as well. These exact same data files worked with TheSaint's HighRes patch? If so, you'll need to wait for a response from Aali, and he may want to look at the actual data files.

Mako: I apologize, it wasn't clear what you meant. For future reference, it's easier to recognize your card as an NVidia GeForce GTX 280. From what I'm seeing, this is NVidia's new ultra high end gaming card, and if that's the case, the only explanation I can offer for the poor performance is that somehow your game must be running with software OpenGL.
This is supported by this line in your log: INFO: No OpenGL 2.0 support detected, shaders won't be available
So here's a few questions that may help figure out why:
Do you have the latest NVidia drivers?
Is ff7.exe running in compatibility mode?

Looking at http://www.geeks3d.com/20080829/nvidia-forceware-17792-geforce-gtx-280-opengl-extensions/, your card definitely supports OpenGL 2.0, but for some reason the NVidia drivers aren't actually being used.

Thanks. Yes I have the latest drivers 186.18, No I am not running compatibility mode just as admin. Got any other suggestions?

I don't think it can get 60fps, i believe that it's limited to 30

That aside, what is your graphics card? I think you specified it before, but I couldn't tell what you meant. Does the OpenGL driver perform poorly compared to the normal driver at 640x480?


As I said before I have a 280 gtx...Its a EVGA if that helps. YES it does perform poorly compared to the normal driver 60fps on normal 5~10 with Aali's driver.

Mako and Nahatma: have you tried upgrading your graphics drivers? That sounds obvious, but it could fix everything.

Sorry I've already tried that, 186.18 is my version.
