What video card are you using?
This seems more like the driver is not applying textures.

Hi, newbie here.
Just wanted to clarify... this obsoletes PRP and any/all addons it had?

Because I was reading up on how to replace all lego-like models in-game (since it seems they are all supposedly finished), and the order I had found out was:
(using bootleg to install everything) PRP base, PRP_addonpack, squallff8's
then random bug fixes like the damaged files, manual edits for the missing hands and stuff, etc etc..

I'm not really sure if that is right, but can I now skip all of that and just stick with U002a (for now)?
Also, are there any other manual fixes I have to apply? (e.g. like the problem mentioned by ProtoX for the flashbacks iirc?)
Thanks.

Yah, just wondering if all the files I mentioned were "legal" (I have no idea what really isn't legal, lol... other than full piracy, of course).

How can I enable the models this installs?

I've tried installing several times, but subsequent runs of FF7 look exactly the same as the original.

I also installed the Menu Overhaul, which did nothing but break fonts throughout the game.

The tutorial here doesn't seem to specify any activation step or alternate loading methods...

Am I missing a step?

I noticed an extra ff7.exe in dlnb_mods, but it will not run.

What is the issue?  I am guessing it is another one related to the annoying transparency glitches of the temple?

edit. Interesting choice of screen capture Hahahahaha!  :o ;D

Assuming it can be fixed, not sure.  What is the issue with the above capture?

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why this transparency glitch occurs and come up with a fix.

you remember the issue with barrets face flickering right and some how you fixed by making it pure solid correct would that method work as well for getting rid with the transperency altogether.

No, it won't work.  The transparency issue is completely different from the blinking heads.
Someone with a better understanding of how the game engine renders models will have to figure this one out.

You need to start right at the beginning.  Is there some kind of major tutorial around here people for newbies?

I figured out what was wrong.

I was installing the proper way, but as I mentioned in the Menu Overhaul thread, the installer falls apart (silently) in WINE.

After running the installer from a terminal, I was able to determine that it opens thousands of file descriptors and thousands of cmd.exe.

This may be a problem with WINE, perhaps some kind of scheduling bug, or it may be that windows lax security allows this behavior.
