Damn hex editing....
I just learned how to save a file in Word haha
A few months ago, I wanted to modify a text in ff7.exe but Touphscript wasn't working on my ff7.exe so I was told to learn hex editing.
I spent hours trying to understand how hex editors were working...
I was and I'm still completely lost :s
I gave it a try once again, but as I expected, I failed...
Here are some screenshots representing the changes I want to bring.

The only real important change is in 1st screenshot : I need enough space to put french words (Objets, Situation, Equipement, Limit Break,...)
I'll try again after dinner.
Any help is welcomed.
Thanks for your answers.
@EQ2Alyza: No I didn't use Bootleg. However, I may have used two mods included in Bootleg : Avalache GUI 2.0.8 and Avalanche HighRes.
As I said, I installed and uninstalled many mods and I got confused.
I'll try what you advised me. Thanks for the help.
@sunz: Man, it was amazing during battles ! Menu overhauled with pure FF7 spirit !!
EDIT 18 March 2014 20h25 : WTf hex editing is so a pain in the a..
EDIT 18 March 2014 22h05 : I succeeded to have it back but it's still not proper.
How did I do ?
Well, I installed FF7 2012 release in
D:\Games\Final Fantasy VII and used GameConverter.
Then, I copyed/pasted my FF7 folder next to the original so I had two FF7 folders :
Final Fantasy VII and
Final Fantasy VII - Copy.
Eventually, I installed MO.exe targetting the original folder but launched ff7.exe from the clone folder.
Now, with that, you'll have basically the same results I had : old main menu but battle menu overhauled.
I want so badly that menu
