Hi, my names Joe.

Awesome mods!

I have an issue though, everything works perfect to me except, when i reach the second avalanche mission in the n5 reactor,  there's a part were i am supposed to press a button at the same time as tifa and barret but nothing happens, any idea what could it be? Im stuck there.

i have the original 1998 release with your presets....

thanx

Hello folks!

I have an issue with my FF7 moded games. I used Bootleg with the complete Tifa's Pack on my game (FF7 Steam version) and it worked but i have a bug with the battle "interface". Life/Magic/Time bars does not look normal and that make the game verry difficult to play (see the picture below). I uninstalled the game, install it again, tryed to configure Bootleg but nothing seems to work. Do you know what am i supposed to do? I play on Windows 8.1.

http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/23/1433602465-img-1767.jpg

EDIT: I checked the FAQ more carefully and i have found the solution to my problem, sorry. ^^"
I have another question though... When i'am on a map (not battle but in dungeons and stuff) and moving, i see a lot of little lines appearing and disappearing like some kind of aliasing and this is annoying. Do you know what to configure to make it stop? :)

PS: sorry for the poor english, i am french and i'm not so compfortable with english.

So I goofed and tried to change the models of the characters after already loading the bootloader, and doing everything. I uninstalled, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled, but now all the words are 1 character long and jumbled.  I searched the forums but nobody else apparently has this problems, or I can't search google or the forum right.  Here's a screenshot:

http://imgur.com/zKLObvT

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall again.  I tried messing with every option available and none helped.  Third try.

Uninstalled, cleaned up remnants, ran registry key cleaner, ran ccleaner for kicks, rebooted, reinstalled, works fine.  Thanks anyway!  Apparently the third try is the charm.

Hello. So Game is running decently fine for me, but I have a few things I need help with:

-Weird textures for midgar, so far decently prominent at beginning of game. Makes builidings look blurry and cheap and worse than original game. Example at 6:08 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZNullRyw4c. Is there Anyway I can just change the character models of stuff and not the backrounds? I always liked the prerendered backrounds of 7, and I don't really see the point in changing a cinematic piece of backround art like Midgar tower in this with weird, blurry, arty textures when it looked fine in the first place. If not I've seen examples of people having an HD, upgraded intro movie that looked like AC, how do I get that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPt68eVe0P0?

-Dialogue boxes have a decent amount of extra space most of the time

-Was there not a re translation option? I clicked that AND installed the reunion mod but Still saying weird things like attack while tail is up. Can I even install the Reunion mod after I've installed Tifa's package, or do I need to start all over again with both?

-Health/Limit/ATB bars are all over the place in battle screen, but I've heard getting Tifa automatically fixes this. If so then I don't mind.

So, I got most of the parts the mods working, however I have this issue with the highway minigame. It seems as if the minigame is running at a higher speed than normal, and i can't find anything online to try and patch the issue. Inside the bootloader even if I try and run the game with the safe settings, the new timelimiter, the minigame limiter, nothing changes.

Here is the API.LOG.

Hey!
Thanks for these awesome mods! But I have a huge proglem: Somehow I'm stuck in the title screen. I have a laptop with numpad, so I didn't use the laptop patch in the installation. The thing is I can only use num8 and num2 to point either to a white sign (which I assume means "new game") or the other grey one, but it won't accept numEnter or any other key to finally start the game. What is also interesting, I can stop the Eidos-Logo and so on with Enter or X or 5 or numEnter, but then the keys do not work anymore. I tried the Laptop-Patch then and it worked at first, but then the game crashed before it could show me the first video. Please help me!

I've completed Disc 1, and it's asking me to insert Disc 2 to continue.
Download Mult.dll.
Place "Mult.dll" into the root folder.
Download FF7anyCDv2.dll.
Place "FF7anyCDv2.dll" into the "LOADR" folder. If this folder doesn't exist, create it.
Edit/Add the line  load_library = Multi.dll  inside ff7_opengl.cfg.

I have done all this (i dont have steam version) and still its asking for disk 2..anybody can help?

Hello, My game crashed when at the beginning of the game when cloud fights the soldiers and then jumps onto the train. It crashed trying to load the first battle of that sequence. Can someone help me fix this? I really really want to play this mod if I can. My my app.log follows:

Re: [FF7] Tutorial for Bootleg - Tifa's Bootleg
« Reply #2715 on: 2015-07-08 00:25:03 »
Sorry for the noob question but, is there any way to change only one model after I installed all mods with Tifas Bootleg?

You can change a model out if you have the files for it and use an lgp tool. There are multiple ones found on this forum (check The Big List of Mods thread).

I like to use this one: http://www.mediafire.com/download/zxj5iyzzmwi/UNLGP%2BLGP+0.5+Automatic+By+Kranmer.exe

Hello, My game crashed when at the beginning of the game when cloud fights the soldiers and then jumps onto the train. It crashed trying to load the first battle of that sequence. Can someone help me fix this? I really really want to play this mod if I can. My my app.log follows:

It told me to upload another file as well but I couldn't remember what it was.

You ran out of video memory because you're trying to run on integrated graphics. Either set the game to run on your dedicated graphics card or suffer from these crashes if you don't have one. Lowering the internal resolution may help reduce the amount of crashes. I think Kaldarasha has a way to allocate the memory used that may also help, but I'm unfamiliar with what he does.

For those who may read this, please don't ignore the message I wrote in the tutorial about using integrated graphics. This is the result that can happen from using too many texture mods with integrated graphics.

Sorry about that, I really do not know much about computers so I didn't know what that meant. I don't have dedicated graphics on my laptop. If I want to lower the internal resolution, do I do that in the FF7 Config?

Don't open FF7 Config as that could potentially screw up your registry keys. You can change internal resolution by clicking the "Configure" button from FF7 Bootloader. There is an image of it in STEP 11 of the tutorial

My current is set at 640x 480. After fiddling around with that setting it appears that is the lowest I can go. Do you happen to have another idea that could potentially fix my problem? I messed with some of the other setting in the bootloader config and it seems to be working slightly better, but it is hard to tell if it fixed the problem or not.

Is there any option I can disable/enable that could potentially fix the crashes? I could try and redo the whole installation process as you describe in your FAQ and rerun it with fewer mods, but I don't really know which mod(s) is causing the problem. Plus I'd lose my save which would suck :(

The APP.log says the internal resolution is 3840x2160 which is 4K resolution. The internal resolution can be set under the System tab at the bottom. Other than that, you can try turning off shaders and checking the box for texture cache, but you still may run into sporadic crashing.

The biggest change you would need to do for reinstalling is in the Textures tab of BFE.exe. The field textures, battle textures, and upscaled magic textures contribute the most to crashing without a GPU.

Thank you for your help. I see I didn't have the 640x480 resolution checked. If I wanted to change the things you mentioned regarding the textures, plus a couple others I would like to do including:

-Change Barret's battle model
-Remove FFX battle style and revert back to the FF7 Battle Style
-Enable Save anywhere
-Enable FMV's

would I be able to just make those changes in the BFE.exe, download any required mods, and then rerun the bootleg? You mention you can't remove any mods without basically starting from scratch, does that mean I wouldn't be able to make any of those changes at this point? Would you be able to point out which I can/can't do at this point?

I'm sorry to bother you so many times, this should be the last bit of help I need, I hope. I really appreciate your time to answer my questions.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately, you can't just run BFE again with a new mod selection. Most of what it does is open files/folders and copy/paste the new modded files, so you'd end up copy/paste modded files over top of modded files. That becomes a big mess and the game will break.

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.msg183582#msg183582

Refer to that link for the FAQ section and how to start over. It's second in the list, and MUST be done when starting over.

Would I be able to make a copy of my save file, reinstall everything including the changes I want to make, and then replace my save file?

I'm sorry to keep posting, but all the sudden the FF7 music program is not responding. Last night it was working fine and it has never given me problems before. The only thing I did between yesterday and today is restart my computer. Do you have any idea's as to what the problem might be?

EDIT:I tested the sound in the FF7Config and it works. When I start the game, it does not work (not responding). I then went to the FF7music executable, ran it as an administrator, hit config, and it stopped responding.
