Funny thing is it has to do with a patch DLPB made for me.

Unexpected and ironic. Now I look like a fool.

I have the 2.0.8 high res version installed, the world map looks amazing!! Great job, the only thing i'm noticing is every now and then theres some patches of original graphics, for example there will be a nice new updated mountain but one side of it will load as the original graphic so it looks really patchy and odd sometimes, but id say 80-90% of the map is spot in perfect. Just wanted to check if this was normal or have I done something wrong?

Best wishes

The wmrp is outdated. Not to be insulting, but the felix leonhart world map textures are my personal choice.

You can find it on the big list of mods.

Is there any plan to make the high res pack compatible with the steam version?

The Steam version works the same as the re-release so you'll just have to patch it to the 1998 version first.

I'd just like to point out an issue with the World Map Reconstruction Project. I know I'm not supposed to post issues with Aali's driver here, but this is not a bug, just a compatibilty issue: He has removed support for "external textures" in LGP archives in version 0.8.0+ of his driver. (Textures in the mods directory seem to work perfectly fine still.) This breaks the WMRP in its current state (with the latest OGL driver - the LGPs still work with 0.7.11b but Aali has fixed some other bugs and I'd like to be able to upgrade). Is it possible to convert the WMRP textures for use in the mods directory? Even if I were to use the textures from Felix Leonhart's project, I'd like to keep the new map texture. I asked about converting these for "mod" use over in Aali's thread a few days ago, but got no reply to my questions, so I thought I'd ask here.

I am going to look into converting the old installer to be able to use modpath. This should fix all the issues with the new driver. It may take me some time though.

I must admit, I had not installed your GUI (and spell effects) mods, and was attempting to remedy this just now. And... I was trying to do that using modpath, bluntly copying all the files. I had mixed results, so I'm looking forward to seeing your progress (for instance, I copied all the spell effects into modpath/magic, the fire spell works, but bolt doesn't). Also, the chunk that does work is really impressive  :)  Really neat stuff.
By the way, isn't there a way to fix the text kerning? It seems like there's too much space between letters and comparatively not enough between two words.

Unfortunately no. It requires edits to the exe. I think dans menu mod has done all this work though. I will get around to finding where all the files go. For now you can download the summon pack as they are all complete. I will work on the spells when i get some free time. Working 14 hours a day right now.

Good to know Dan managed a workaround. I'll be patient about your updates, you take care for now (I have no fond memory of pulling out these kinds of working hours  :-(  )

Sorry to revive this old thread.
I'm having issues with the Sweeper model, the one from the bombing mission isn't loading the model, And as i recall thats because there are two different sweeper models.

If that's so, what are the names of the files (or where i can find them) so i can rename the files and get this working.

I'll happily post an updated .rar once I'm finished

EDIT: Also the none iro seffect is missing

Link to High Res file on Google docs is a dead end. Need to request permission to download.

HI!

From Romhaqcking.net,  I followed your directions to patch "Beacause", downloading the file, extracting the .bat file, but when I dragged/dropped a FFVII iso to it, a command screen came up, vanished when I tried to use it, and nothing further occurred.

If I try dragging/dropping an iso to the .bat file without extracting it, nothing happens.

I am using Windows 7 OS, 64-bit. My FFVII isos are the correct ones. Any suggestions?

Sorry that my first post here already is a necro, but there is still a problem with the High Res overhaul. I always get a 403 error in the google drive link (just stating that I don't have access).
However, I was able to download the new GUI. So it's not my computer/internet to blame, I guess.
I also googled for an alternative download for Team Avalanche's Graphical Overhaul, but I couldn't find any as every other site links qhimm for download. I want to try/use your overhaul so badly, because I'm really amazed by it.

Thanks for the link! This one worked well.
The original one, however, still won't work for me. But now, I gut a different reason. Now it tells me that I have to sign in for Google Drive. This is strange, because the GUI is also on Google Drive, and I can still download it without signing in.
