Releases / gjoerulv's "Hardcore" mod

Aha! Yeah I did, to gain an extra Lightening Materia. Cheers though I'll go fix that. I did think that "t vest" was a strange weapon

Ah Joe, I thought you'd given up on this topic!
Yeah, after using Mindblow I wasted them pretty easily. Only other boss that gave me hassle was Motorball and that was just because for some reason his Arm Attack/Blow would do around 300-350 damage to whoever it hit, then he'd do it again to the same person. I had to play so that I always had a person with Cure with a full ATB in case he did something. Trouble is also, my character only just had above 600hp by the point (besides Barret with around 700, the man's a tank).

One minor problem, I'm trying to edit the spell names back to their numbers and stuff, I've tried using Wall Market, and the .exe plain won't open. Then when I tried using Teioh, it kept saying my kernel2.bin wasn't a kernel2.bin file. When I opened my original back up kernel2 it worked perfectly, which is a little bit useless, as I assume you've changed not only the spell names, but descriptions of armour and weapons aye?

Do you have a work around? Because the "aga" suffix's are really annoying me. They just don't sit right in this game haha.
ALSO! One more question, what's up with the H0512 you fight in the Mt. Nibel Mako Reactor? It took me ages to kill him, and Sephiroth NEVER lands a physical attack on any monster. Nor does Cloud.
Again, many thanks for the mod. And I really don't mind what patch you release first to be honest. This in itself is worth so much.

I'll try again now before work. Alas, I'm going to have a to grind a little bit before hand anyway. They're doing around 200 per hit ahaha. And, they cast beserk disabling my ability to cure. Aha, it's been so long since I've got a proper legit Game Over with this game! :D

I've thought this mod has been pretty good, not crazy hard but pretty decent. However I'm stuck on Locke, Theo and Venus ahahaha. I don't have a damn clue, besides the one on my right is immune to bolt. And casts Bolt2.
Are there any specific strategies I should be performing, or a staple level I should be at? Average is level 13.
Amazing mod Gjoe, seriously. Well done.

Troubleshooting / Sound effects problem
« on: 2009-06-30 12:52:24 »
The music in the game works, and it works during battles. But sound effect for some reason do not. By this I mean cursor moving or spell casting, or even attacking. There's just no sound effects going on :/ Both sound tests in the FF Config.exe program worked fine.
I searched through the forums and found two other posts with pretty much the same subject as mine, but they were about 1 or 2 years ago. One topic had no answer, and the other's answer to check if "midi's" were turned off in my Windows Control Panel sound category.
I looked through Windows Control Panel and found no section telling me whether or not midi's were to be used or not. And surely if midis were turned off the background music wouldn't work either?
I haven't used any patches either.

Thanks in advance!

edit: Final Fantasy VII related problem, forgot to add that bit in ahah!

FF7 Tools / Official Proud Clod 1.0 Topic
« on: 2009-06-30 07:51:14 »
Does anyone has problem downloading Proud Clod or is it just me? I seem to be unable to connect to filefront.com. Isn't there any mirror link on Skydrive, rapidshare, mediafire, etc.?

You're right, I tried to download it just now and it's not working. A re-up or different mirror would be great :)
I can't wait for the new feature! :D

FF7 Tools / Wall Market, FFVII KERNEL.BIN editor
« on: 2008-11-29 15:37:43 »
Whenever I try to run the .exe it comes up with an error message telling me that "Component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" even though that file is there :)
I'm wondering if it's something to do with Vista? although I doubt it.
Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Never mind, I ran it as Administrator and it seemed to work :)

Archive / Creating Enemies
« on: 2008-03-20 00:03:32 »
Hey.
I have looked through the forums but not really found much in the way of what I'm looking for.
If there is some thread I've overlooked, please direct me  :-)

Right anyway, I've been messing around with Meteor and Highwind etc. and was just wondering
1. Does Meteor show ecounters for Bosses? Because, I don't think it does ;S
2. If it doesn't, what are the ecounter codes for Bosses? I know it might sound totally stupid but I was going to make a sort of room full of bosses from previous parts in the game
3. How do I create enemies/bosses? As I wouldn't mind making the game quite a bit harder and customising it
4. How do I create attacks for enemies/bosses, as raising stats and changing some weaknesses around would just mean levelling up more which I don't find that interesting y'know?

Thanks for any help  :-D
