Completely Unrelated / Installing windows xp sata hardisk

Hey guys, due to warranty purposes, i have to install windows xp on my laptop. Its proving to be difficult due to the lack of sata drivers. I don't seem to be able to find them for my laptop! I have a HP dv8263ea. Can anyone help? Point me in the right direction? My slip straemed disc didn't work :'(

Hey guys, I've been trying to turn off a certain feature in acrobat but I don't seem to be able to find it, its the one where when you scroll down using a mouse wheel/down arrow, it snaps to the page, I want it off, so I can scroll seamlessly, any ideas?

Hey guys, I just bought a new router which seems to have problems with it. Its a linksys wrt54gl, I've flashed it with the dd wrt firmware. The problem is, it keeps randomly disconeccting. I'm thinking its because of perhaps some settings some where? I have it on dchp auto config, but I know my line is meant to be PPPoA , but there isn't an option for that. Any ideas?

Don't you just love your friends? Had a great day out today in Lincoln, where we just hung out in the park and messed about. Does anyone notice that as you get older, you get less and less time to do that? and going outs seem to also seem to involve alcohol or clubbing? I kinda miss the old simple hanging out in the park and playing football! So err theres not much to disucss, so lets discuss how friends rule!

Hey guys, I think I may have chosen the wrong degree... I've chosen physics, but unfortunately, I'm not sure I'm interested in the subject.. I mean , I find it painfully dull at A level, as its just stick in numberst etc, nothing concrete! I've heard its different at uni though.. could someone recomend me a physics textbook used at uni, so I can see what its like?

Scanlines or background blurring in ff7. After Looking at ff9 and 10 for ages, the ff7 backgrounds start to look really bad.

I read somewhere that a fan had reversed engineered elite to run on windows. How did he do that? If thats possible to litually port a different systemed game accross to the pc then why couldn't some change a few values and get the ff7 chocobos races to work.

Digital on my soundcard (audigy platium ex) doesn't work! For out put I have a Kenwood amp and a mixture of speakers (6 different, 2 for center), can someone give me a step by step on actually plugging in speakers (to check if I have done it right), it works fine in analog, could my card be faulty as it has problems with game bink files, microsoft game voice and said digital.

No one has done this yet, set a fps cap of 50 when a mdec is running in ff9 pal uk and setting a cap of 59 when playing normally.

Have you noticed that in battles, the models look better? Well I have a brilliend idea!
Couldn't someone use those models throughout the whole game eg.on world map or normal scene.
The animations would,nt be hard to do and it would make the game look much better.
