I think Windows 10 is *mostly* a good OS for gaming. A few much older games have problems, but almost every game released in the past 10 years works great with little to no tweaking, and DirectX 12 gives great performance gains for games that support it and requires Windows 10.

I do have my problems with Win10, but not really as a gaming OS.

No piece of software is infallible. However, the Windows platform are what games are generally developed for and Windows 10 is the latest version of Windows. This one is really your best bet, and the only one that will get serious support from developers seeing how it has been out for over a year now and has a lot of market penetration.

Windows 10 is not suitable as is for old games like "SWAT 3" or "Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear". They may require additional software like "dg VooDoo". For a bit newer games Win10 is the best you can get (not including game consoles systems) as it's mostly plug&play like. Windows 7 is said to be the most stable system (yes?), yet I have less problems on win10 than I had on Seven.

Even including consoles, Win10 is the best you can get.  PC gaming may not be for everyone, but it is objectively superior.

It could be due to a number of things.  It could be due to the card aging poorly, it could be due to unstable drivers, it could be due to unstable Windows 10 drivers, it could be due to a failing power supply, it could be due to a corrupted install of the drivers, it could be due to Windows 10 being a version of Windows and thus just not working right.  Without any logs, or system specs, etc. etc. it's really hard to diagnose a problem like that.

If you had upgraded from a previous version of Windows and that starts happening, the first thing to do is to update your graphics card driver, which may have still been running a driver for an older version of Windows.
