FF7Voice / Re: [FF7][Tsunamods] Echo-S Voice Mod
« on: 2021-11-01 10:10:33 »
Hi,

Ok thanks, I'll give that a go.

Regards Tom.

Edit @Tsunamix, just wanted to let you know that sorted the problem. I did check I was on the latest version before posting, I suspect it was hangover from my old config. Removing and starting a fresh with the one from the website fixed it.

Thanks for the help.

Regards Tom.

Hi,

Looking for some help please. I can't seem to get the voices to work. I've download the iro file (as I already have 7th heaven), installed and up dated the load order. Starts ok, I get the options; but no voices. So I disabled the other mods enabled and still no voices. Am I missing something here?

Also on a side note is Echo-S compatible with any other mods?

Thanks.

Hi,

Just installed windows on a new ssd and tried to setup 7th heaven. Just to confirm, there seems to to a compatibility to issue with chaos and 2.3. Grabbed 2.2 from my old drive and all working. Disabling chaos  helped it launch, but then crashed on loading saves.

Thanks

Hi,

Lockdown has probably gone a little way to helping me complete Final Fantasy VII for the first time in over 20 years and the first time on PC, I've tried many times in the last 2 decades but never quite got there again. But I know this much it was the recent release of 7th Heaven 2.0, that encouraged me to try again. So I just wanted to say a massive thanks to:

Hi,

@TheOmegaFactor Short trying one combination at a time with tweaks and cheats, till you find the conflict causing the issue; I'm not sure what else to suggest. But your system specs may give some insight?

@hdavis70 "C:\users\TurBoss doesn't exist...so not sure why it's looking for a file there." Sounds like your setup is borked. I would remove 7th heaven, ff7 and reinstall and run the convertor again.

Thanks

Hi,

- have you enabled VT-x and any other virtualization toggles in your BIOS?

Believe they are enabled, will double check though.

No issues with directx on vmplayer, just let steam installed the required and then run the converter.

Thanks

@TheOmegaFactor, please provide your load order.

@LordUrQuan Unfortunately my host machine doesn't appear to cope very well with using another vcpu, as I get more freezes, it doesn't hang all together though. Does virtualbox support 3d acceleration now?

Tom.

Hi,

I was having a similar issues with crashes, I found disabling always run in tweaks and cheats resolved these.

I've been unable to work out why the world map takes so long to load, I've even disabled the mods related to the world map; didn't help. I've even tried and old fix for vanilla ff7, use win98 compatibility mode; this causes a delayed start and the world map still takes for ever to load. Will test further.  For now I'm playing the world map un-modded.

edit:

Ok on further testing appears to be the more mods enabled, longer delay on loading the world map. Can have 4 mods enabled before the delay starts to become noticeable. Looks like a memory leak to me. I'm getting delays of 30 seconds with all the mods I use enabled, I suspect this is being caused by playing ff7 on a VM. Windows 7 1 cpu, 4gb ram & GPU 1GB, vmware player on ubuntu 18.04:  4 core i5, 16gb ram, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB

mods:

Miscellaneous - Team Avalanche Fields
Battle Models - Weapons
Field Models - Objects
Animations
Battle Models - Characters
Battle Models - Enemies
Battle Textures
Field Models - Main Characters
Field Models - Non-Player Characters
Field Textures - satsuki
Gameplay - Tweaks and Cheats
Media - Movies
Media - Music and Sound
Menu - Avatars and Backdrops
Minigames
Spell Textures
World Models - Characters
World Models - Enemies
World Models - Vehicles
World Textures

Thanks Tom.

I think your after The Saint's High Res patch, its no longer supported, As there are far better mods.

but I've just found it on this site:

http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/jeux/final-fantasy-vii/mods/35146-the-saint-s-high-resolution-patch

its a french site, but you can use google translate.

Thanks Tom.

Troubleshooting / Re: Running with Intel Integrated
« on: 2015-04-08 08:58:16 »
You could try just connecting your monitor to your integrated card VGA/DVI Port, or setup a switch for the 2 outputs. But before you try reverting back to your intel have you tried running the game with Aali's Custom FF7/FF8 Driver. You may find the game runs a lot smoother.

I've yet to see the film, I my self can't understand why its been expanded to a trilogy (Apart from $$$). I've read the book and can definitely recommend it, I suspect you will find it a lot more appealing, than this film.

Troubleshooting / Re: The_Saint patch has a virus
« on: 2008-10-25 18:28:20 »
Hi

two questions:

Where did u download saints patch from?

Also What anti-virus software are you using?

I Suggest you try fighting Ruby weapon with a unpatched ff7.exe 1.02 and see if the glitch happens. If It doesn't You've got 2 choices:

1. Play the battle without any patches.
2. Install one patch at a time, to find out which one is causing the bug.

Troubleshooting / Re: FF7 opening credit
« on: 2008-08-06 09:33:40 »
I have also had this problem, I can confirm that without the 1.02 patch the intro plays. After the installation of 1.02 the intro does not appear and enter has to be pressed to see the menu. The only possible work around, is if you just install 1.02 config file and keep the original 1.0 ff7.exe. This should show the opening credits, but I seem to remember there maybe crashes with this solution.

25
you could try downgrading the drivers I'm using forceware 77.77, this solved my problems. I can aslo use 8-bit textures and AA. Also so far no  problems in new games.
