7th Heaven / Re: Music Not Playing
« on: 2016-09-18 20:48:56 »
Now, I don't know how it happened, but the fact that it says
"Final Fantasy VII\/"
implies that something went wrong with putting the music in.
I don't remember if you have to do anything special other than adding the "music" folder in where the setup guide tells you, and until I'm able to use postprocessing I won't be able to test it, but check the settings, compare what you did with the Setup guide, and, if it seems you did everything right, then worst-case-scenario you'll have to just reinstall 7thHeaven and redownload the mods.

Thank you very, very much! It always feels weird after playing the PSX version, so it's great to have this individually!  ;D
EDIT: It was a dumb question honestly, of course it wouldn't require it.

I'm not super good with this, so I'd recommend cleaning out all the registry keys if you haven't already, but
...the Disc 1 .iso file...
...the base game's launcher from Steam
Steam release doesn't use .iso's
What do you mean by messing with the iso?

Completely Unrelated / Re: Budget Laptop
« on: 2016-08-23 23:26:17 »
Honestly pretty much any laptop you could get at a store is good.
Even with graphical mods, FFVII isn't graphically intensive at all, so you don't need to spend a lot at all.

30
Do you have Postprocessing on?
Also, post your APP.log, GC.log, and profile details, please.

Just change the placements using an image editing software.
Tonberry looks for a specific place in the texture maps, so just replace the placement of X and O in the .png.

I presume that they're getting overwritten by the upscale IROs from 7thHeaven, if you've installed those and have activated them.
If not, I have no idea.

Really liking the whole idea behind the Sephiroth story mod, but the way the story is written is making me cringe a  bit. Is it still under development or is it in its final form already? I'd really like to go through the text and edit it so the grammar is correct and so everything makes a bit more sense, but I'm not sure how to do it or if I even can. Thanks!

By the by, I still haven't been able to get any mods working on my desktop computer. Everything runs smooth as silk on my laptop though.
As far as I remember, the creator of the Sephiroth Story mod isn't EQ2Alyza.

I remember, whenever I won in Chocobo Racing, the victory animation would be really fast.
Then again, it's been a while since I've been either A) far enough in the PSX version for it to be open to me (late Disc 2 and Disc 3) or B) early enough in the Steam version to have it happen at all, as my save files are all either on the 1st Continent or on the final screen you can save, with nothing left to do but grind and beat Ruby and Emerald Weapon.

7th Heaven / Re: Really bad fps.

I believe you have to make a profile for FF7 in your NVidia config program, though I might be wrong.
That's what I remember EQ2Alyza saying though.

General Discussion / Re: Replaying FF7
« on: 2016-05-25 21:27:46 »
For the most part, mods are made for the PC version.
As far as I'm aware, most PlayStation mods just change things like stats, item drops, and battles.
Due to the fact that they're made with PS1 limitations, there isn't much that can be done, really.

37
Really?
There's the two links in the OP, and the one torrent link in one of McIndus' posts.
I've tried all of them, and they all go to 13tomidnight.

38
Does anybody have a mirror for this?
I think this is the only mod that still uses the defunct download site, and after wiping my hard drive I really want to experience it again.
EDIT: Sorry for being an idiot.

7th Heaven / Re: Red box crash upon start up
« on: 2016-05-12 23:12:25 »
I'm not techy enough to know what your problem is exactly, but the fact that you're using Program Files (x86) is a red flag, so I'd try uninstalling the mods, unpatching FF7, moving it to a "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods" path, or anything outside of a system folder, and then repatching and reinstalling the mods.
Of course, if there's a simpler way to do what I said, you should do that instead.
And, once done (with any method), post what you did and what happened so we can see what the problem is or was.

Graphical / Re: Change Cloud's battle model
« on: 2016-05-06 21:31:52 »
The mod tool for "Bloodshot-Classic" is, as I said, the 7thHeaven mod loader.
Just follow the steps on the thread for it.

Absolutely

I believe it's referred to as "Bloodshot-Classic" in 7thHeaven (the mod for Cloud's model).

As far as I'm aware, 7thHeaven doesn't use keybindings.
I could be wrong, though.

Yes, from in-game, manually editing the config file from the game, or, if using the Steam version, changing that version's keybindings, and then pasting that version's config file into the modded game's directory.
Unless you're referring to keybindings for use with 7thHeaven, in which case you should look for a config file in that program's directory.

7th Heaven / Re: Issues with ff7 bootleg
« on: 2016-04-11 22:42:22 »
Did you install Reunion R04? I tried installing that with 7thHeaven once, and I had issues similar to these.
If not, are you using the default ff7.exe? If you use a different one without the respective mods (or, alternatively, using the default .exe with incompatible mods), there will be errors.
Also, could you post your mod load order and APP.log?

7th Heaven / Re: Media - Movies mod
« on: 2016-03-19 20:19:20 »
Yeah, I was just referring too the fact that the files it would override are the exact same, so while it's better to load them how the game would, the same movies will play.

It doesn't really matter, but it'd be better to deactivate it.

Yeah, as long as you cut the parts out exactly, all you have to do is start and end loop at the beginning and end in Audacity.

7th Heaven / Re: Issues - New Game with mods

I don't have a fix for the NPC one, but the Buster Sword issue is definitely you using a model that isn't tested with the Battle- Weapons mod.
As far as I know, the only Shinra enemies with an updated model that aren't bosses are SOLDIER.
And as long as you've coded the OGGs to loop in Audacity or a similar program, they should loop.
And, for future reference, it seems that selecting a specific mod for something that you can manually replace (i.e. audio or movies) overrides the files present in that folder.
