I think he's crafty enough to make his own texture sheets. Hell, all I do is pick one color for one object and use the Dodge and Burn tool to add highlights and shadows where needed, maybe the occasional bevel effects layer to speed up the process. and I layer in photographic references like rust and leather to get an authentic touch. The real trick is dividing up the square you have to accommodate all the textures you need and keeping the more important ones at a higher size and still be able to squeeze it all in there. Once again, with practice it becomes easier.
seriously, i was gonna do all that, but i didnt take art, and i'm just not artistic enough
so my textures seem to be frankensteins of lots of square-enix/square's premade work
same with the models, to be honest.
