This is my personal music setup for ficedula in FF7, made up mostly of tracks from the fabulous ocremix.org.  It's a large file, almost 500 megs, but in my opinion it is a fantastic way to play the game.  To install simply back up your mp3 folder located in the ficedula directory, and replace it with the one in the .7z file.  All the files are named appropriately for ficedula, so you may need to change some of them back to default if ficedula is pointing at something else (one of the remix files, for instance).  Give it a shot, and if you've never been to ocremix, definitely visit and see what else they have.

Thanks so much, the hex edit worked perfectly.

So I set out to do something I thought would be really easy with Wallmarket.  I wanted to simply remove the 'Cut-All' aspect of the Omni All materia--so that Omni All would still apply an "All" affect to every action, but leave Attack alone.  I can't figure out how to do it though.  First I thought I could just change the Cut All command to mirror Attack.  It worked--sort of.  The cursor still comes out targeting everything, but it's on a toggle so I can select one enemy.  And it does hit only one enemy, but it still does the Cut All animation.

Is there any way to do what I'm trying to?  I just want them to attack with a normal attack animation while having an Omni All equipped.

Thanks, exactly what I needed.

They're everywhere; just tiny lines that obviously shouldn't be there.

Troubleshooting / Re: need help to install mods

I think I had a similar problem.  Check and see if you have a ff7input.cfg.  If not, I think it's there but it's named something else.  Look for a similar .cfg fill and try renaming it.  That might fix it for you.

I'm thinking the problem is rather something else than these swords, because ages ago when I released 4 first swords they worked fine with any cloud. It might be Aali's driver or something, dunno.

Maybe but...I don't use the openGL mod--I'm still using the Saint's high res mod--Aali's openGL patch is too buggy for me, it crashes on my home computer at the start, and when I get it working here I have to turn it off because it can't play wind.wav, or whatever.  The high res mod is much more stable (for me).

That said, as I don't use aali's driver and I'm still having the white texture problem with certain clouds and not others...i dunno.

Awesome, thanks a lot.  Yeah I want to do it for the PC version, it's stupid easy on the PSX version heh.  epsxe and game genie work wonders :D.

I'm going to at least check out your UW this time before I swap it for the BS.

You may want to change your first post to warn people which Cloud models work and which don't.  It was really just dumb luck I figured it out myself, and I've noticed other people having the same problem.

Oh and thanks for all your great work!  This is my first time using the PC version, so I'm really loving all these mods.  Wish I had the ability to do some of my own.

Maybe I'm a little behind in the times, but I found another reason for the white textures.

Again, maybe you all already know this, but if you try to use Dreakon's higher quality cloud mod with this, it causes the white textures.  I tested it by using a fresh battle.lpg, then adding your weapon texture mod--everything works flawlessly.  But if I then apply Dreakon's cloud mod, the white textures are back.

Now I have to decide which I like more.  So I'm guessing you have to use an unmodded cloud or APZ cloud to use this pack?

EDIT: And while I'm at it, I had a quick question.  Which files are for Cloud's Buster Sword and his Ultimate Weapon?  I liked to replace the UW with the Buster Sword on the PSX just because the BS is his iconic weapon and the UW is too--garish.  Would I be able to just copy the Buster Sword's file and rename it over the UW to accomplish this?  Or is it more involved?

Troubleshooting / Re: FF7 In battle SFX

For me, I'm 99% sure all my problems would go away if I could just change the output of the game from Stereo to mono.  But there's no option to do it in game.  And setting my computer speakers to mono output didn't fix the problem.

It sounds like a stereo problem to me anyway.  Maybe it is just a volume thing, but the way some sounds play quietly and some not at all in battles depending on where the sound is coming from is what makes me think it's a stereo thing.

Well if there's nothing I can do about it I'll just deal with it--it's not a big deal, I've played the game so many times I know every sound effect by heart--and since I stuffed the game full of ocremix, advent children, and other final fantasy songs I've accumulated over the years, the music is more important than the SFX.

Troubleshooting / FF7 In battle SFX

First just let me say I love this site--FF7 is probably my all time favorite game, and I like to come back and play it every now and then (I still have my original PSX discs from when it originally came out) and this site makes the game almost like new.

But I have a small problem, I searched but couldn't come up with anything.  Is there a fix for the sound not always playing in battles?  I've noticed that frequently sounds don't play or play so quietly that you can barely hear them.  At first I thought this was because I'm only using one headphone I figured it was just the stereo sound.  But then I tried it on a different computer with the speakers working properly and it still happens.  Is this a viable concern, or am I just crazy?
