General Discussion / Re: Limit System?
« on: 2006-05-12 04:33:11 »
The trick is to set it when your limit bar is already at zero. Or to set it right before a boss battle where it will pop right back up anyway.

Use 7-zip. It has an extremely high compression ration, and doesn't run into version compatibility issues. It's not as widespread as zip, but as long as you link to their site, it works well.

Dude, your link doesn't work. So really, there's nothing for the admins to complain about.

I am the bird. I believe that this does in fact link to AnimeVamp's patch. This, however, still links to Qhimm.

Dude, he posted it here after being told not to post it where he did before.

You tested your hardware? That means unplugging any and all controllers and restarting your computer and trying again?

This is the best topic ever.

I was half tempted to quote your entire article just to say that.

Edit: You should also include a complaint about the following scenario:

I want to play a game. :-D
What would that be? lol
How about backgammon
That sounds like fun

Or maybe checkers.
I like that too.

Sony has announced that the PS3 controller will feature motion detection. Other than that, it will be a PS2 dualshock without vibration. Basically, they stole an idea, and overcomplicated what they already had, while throwing away something else they stole.

Opinions?

Yeah, also your pics are down.

I preferred the old one too, but that's mostly just a skinning issue; this can be made to look like the old one. It's irrelevant, though, because these forums are just temporary.

Considering that FF7music is smaller and less unwieldy, I don't think this will catch on. It's a good idea, though.

Completely Unrelated / Nicknames.... why?

I was Yami Pegasus during my Yu-Gi-Oh! obsession. I thought it would never end. Since then, I've gradually become "Covarr" because it's a play on my name, and will always represent me. As much as my personality might change, the name Covarr will never really become outdated, unless I change my real name.

Actually, it's a CD drive speed issue. If it doesn't read fast enough, it'll crash. The thing is, a CD drive doesn't necessarily always read at the exact same speed, so sometimes it will work, and sometimes not. But switching them to the hard drive should help so they don't ever crash.

Are you using Windows XP? I think that XP has some problems with this game sometimes, but I don't remember the solution. I do remember battles crashing as a common symptom though.

Sometimes FMVs will hang or crash when running from the CD (something to do with CD not reading fast enough). There's instructions floating around somewhere to get it to run the videos from your hard drive.

An example of why "sephiroth" doesn't make a good username:

Quote
sephirothdude: where coud i get the ff7 roms for snes
sephiroth748832: i dunno try [emulation site]
silversephy: u dumass there is no ff7 rom for snes its for psx
sephirothdude: liar i no i played it for snes
silversephy: u must be thinking of ff6
Moderator: Please do not ask for or give links to illegal materials here.
sephiroth748832: no its okay b'cauz snes is abandonware that means its okay
silversephy: ff7 isnt snes its psx!!!!!?!
Sehpiroth: ok im back
Sehpiroth: actually its not psx its ps1
Sehpiroth: and you can get ps1 roms at [another emulation site]
Sehpiroth: be carefull theres popups
silversephy: if its ps1 its iso not rom, and ps1=psx
Moderator: No double posts, no rom links. All of you are banned.

In this example, it's quite obvious that the only reason these people are idiots is because their IQ dropped when they chose a "Sephiroth" username.

You used the 1.04 patch? Would that be animevamp's patch? Don't use it, it's crap.

Ironically, you could probably make one in your new language!

In other news, you might check download.com for something.

It will probably show up as a process rather than an application, in WinXP. Try quitting that way.

hq2x is a command line program that converts individual images. The code can be used in another program, but just running it alone does nothing.

I dunno, a lot of clones are better than the original. Especially engine clones like this. "Clone" only really has (and deserves) a negative connotation when it's used in reference to homemade mario games.

Chrono Trigger Resurrection was free and didn't require the original game. Square didn't like this because it meant that they would no longer be able to sell the game since there would be a better, free version available.

This is different, because it only works if you have the game anyway; such a protection feature would have been impossible to implement in CTR. Thus, the biggest reason for their opposition was entirely removed.

The AxisPad FX is pretty good. It takes a bit of getting used to, and has a somewhat unpleasent size factor (Not as bad as XBox), and has some screwy driver issues if you use Win98, but it has no calibration issues, and the rumble feature works pretty well too. It's the same layout as a Dualshock.

It might be a while before we see even a playable version. Fortunately, we still have the official PC and PSX versions until then.

well Grisu in the last 2 weeks I've done more models than ever since I'm working on this project lol I have now all the 73 models edited hehe so I'll start soon to make new ones !!!

you can download it at the link in the first post of this page

This means that if I played the game with your patch latest version, there would be no characters unchanged? Or does it mean that you have updated all of the models that Borde had done before?

Good or bad is up for debate, but the PSFs are definitely authentic, since they're actual Playstation data. If anything, I'd advise using FF7music for One Winged Angel, and just not use any that you think sound worse.

One thing to keep in mind is that the midis are very well sequenced, so they could sound better as long as you have a good sound card.
