I think I need to just download stuff manually. While 7th heaven is great it does need a download manager to help if a blip in the user's internet connection causes problems

Please don't post download issues here. This is not a 7H bug. 7H could more gracefully handle the problem, but the problem is from your connection to the server is dropped.

ok, I been having download trouble as 7th haven says I am downloading at about 500KB/s , but it been like that for way to many hours.

I'd love to be part of this myself, but the best I could do to help was maybe a small part as a 1 or 2 line NPC as I really am not skilled enough as a VA to do any big role.

Wow... I can't believe that epic did this, and it makes me so very very happy. In case you didn't know, the unreal development kit (UDK) is the unreal engine 3 used to make games such as gears of war, unreal tournament 3, mirrors edge, bioshock and many others, and it has been made available to the public for game development. You cannot make retail games, unless you pay epic games royalties.It is very simple, yet extremely powerful.

That is rather cool to do. Now I wonder how long till ppl start releasing some free games developed with it. Or if it can anyway work with any of the FFVII projects going on

Hey all, I was wondering if it's possible to change the original ff7 icon with one I just created. I spent a few hours making a better icon with alpha blending/transparency but I'm not sure how I would go about using it.

I remember I used a program called reshacker (I think) years ago to change an icon, but after updating it, the program wouldn't work anymore. Any suggestions?

I find it a lot simpler to just to it to a shortcut to the exe, but I might want to try that myself anyways :D

Speaking of tutorials It would be nice to get a good on on editing the ff7 text. I wanted to make a prodigy ver and there is just so much text and I am pretty sure there is a lot that is redundant and or never used. I would need to find a way to figure out what needs to be edited and what will never be seen.Also how to add more dialog to certain points and make a conversation a little longer.

That happened to me. I just used a deadly waste and the dragon died from poisoning. the rest of the game was fine after that.
I have had sephy allways miss, but never chocobo head (cloud). But since I used a few patches (and jenova) cloud had good stats and good materia. So I just used some magic to get rid of him :) maby that could be a option for you to?

I've looked around an awful lot to see how people are progressing with fixing this... and that's just the problem. It seems all people are doing is querying how the search is coming along and nobody is even working on a fix for it. I see only 2 options... either a huge mass spam email attack to the developer (MUAHAHA! :evil:) or a very good coder comes along and does what FF7 had done to it and somehow edit the executable. Is there not anyone on these forums who is talented enough to do something like this, maybe reverse engineering or something like that? ^^
You have to relise that not enough is known about the pc ver of ff8 to do that yet. It took years to get to were they are now to do this shit in ff7 so you need to eather learn how to do it yourself or quite bitching.

ps: since ff8 is not as popular as 7 it will take a lot longer :(

Well I am not relly sure about this, but from what I know the first part can be done, but right now there is no way at this point in time to add a event to get aeris back.

Hi. Using Jenova isn't there a way to recall back Aeris on your party after her deperting ?? I tryed but the pg can't go back on the group with PHS if I insert her on the party ,.... :(
From what I know you first use jenova to add aeris back to the party (I pick the 3rd slot) then you go to the battle square and do at least one battle and then the game can reqanice (sp) her better

Then, is there in_mp3.dll that works with FF7Music?  Now I have same problem.

**God, it's crazy.... I just read log file(and delete that..>_<).  I don't have any idea why in_bass.dll tried to play .mp3.   Besides, FF7Music doesn't seem to recognize in_mp3.dll.......

Well the new in_mp3.dll that winamp comes with (I think it is winamp v 5.32) dose not work with this prog. So if you have a older ver of winamp then install that into a temp dir and copy the dll. or just try ot find a older ver online.

It happen to me (I only saw this happen with the break damage limit patch) but since could is doing 1 hit kills it dose not matter :)
