Thats why one plays FPS games with a mouse and a keyboard. But thats another story.

I just hope that japanese VA would be a standard. And about the game being split up. They could always make it that you HAVE to install the game on xbox360 so allfiles are on the Hard disk. For Mass Effect you need a Hard disk to play so it wouldnt be the first game.

*cut*

Gin iro no kami no Agito - Never heard about it before
Mononoke Hime - Princess monoke? One of the best anime movies for sure, but the animation isn't great.
Aladdin - A classic!
Eureka Seven pocket full or rainbows - Never heard about it, sounds lame -_-
gin iro no kami no Agito is name Origin: Spirits of the past in English. wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin:_Spirits_of_the_Past It is one of the best anime movies ever made with a really great soundtrack.
Eureka 7 is also an anime. The series wich i love and the movie might be better. The movie follows a similar story to the series, but COMPLETLY different. As with most tvseries to movie adaptions in anime. rahxephon comes to mind :) But about the movie, i dont think one would like the movie if that one didnt see the series.

Very true ye-roon. If you ever watch adult swim, they use the same cast of voice-actors to dub every anime series they get.

i dont watch adult swim, cause well, Cartoon network is considerd for kids here and in dutch :p I do know what it is though.

But the bad thing about it is:

In japan they use the same voice actor for the same type of roles. Like kuririn and luffy. Same goes for most other voices. Ishida from Bleach and Sasuke from Naruto for exmaple. Same type of roles, same type of appearance.

But in the US and Holland and prolly evry other non english speaking country. They use the same set of voice actors. But because its "unfair" to the other voice actors they switch around main roles and side roles. For exmaple they could have the voice that does sasuke do ichigo's voice and the one does ichida's voice do naruto. That way both actors have a "main" part in a long running anime and get paid the same amount. Cause main parts are paid better.

Problem is, voices that DO NOT fit the character. But hey, thats just me :)

English is not my native language. But here in holland we dont get dubbed movies like in most other european countries. Wich means our movies are in english with dutch subs. So i am used to reading subs and watching a movie. Thing is overtime i learned english so now i dont need the subs anymore. But i watch alot of anime wich has subs, and it has never taken my eyes of the screen.

Plus japanese voices are done by voice actors, english voices are done by people they got of the street or big names from hollywood movies. The first are bad, the second are a bit better (shrek anyone?). But still if i see something in a japanese style, so anime/manga/cg from FF games. English voices just dont fit. it feels wrong. The same german guy should feel about arnold zwarch not doing his own voice in terminator.

Very few people know that you can plug any USB gamepad into a ps3 and have it work.

so if i plug in my xbox360 gamepad for windooze in a ps3, i can play with that? awesome :)

And the reason i find the 360 gamepad better is the placement of the left control stick. It plays much more natural then the ps3 one. I do agree that the d-pad of the ps3 is much better. But i dont play 2d games on a ps3/360, i do that on my wii. Plus the ps3 controller is verry small, and i got big hands, so thats another plus for 360's controller.

still debating if i should buy a ps3slim with uncharted 2 or not :p

yes thats right, a post from me. hi guys!

Anyways, FFXIII is around the corner and i am debating multiple things. I own a 360 and buying it on 360 seems to be the obvious choice (xbox360 controller > ps3 controller) Still, PS3 slim is sheeeeeeeep! atm and the game looks so much better on the ps3 its crazy.

But my main "motivation" for the system i buy this on will be the voice acting. In FFX and in FFXII i didnt like the voice acting at all. And i was pleased to hear that the PS3 version would have japanese voice acting from the get go. And the 360 version was a debate. Today i read a previeuw/interview on a dutch site saying that japanese voice acting would not be present at launch, instead we get english with full english lip synch (boring). And japanese may come as DLC or summit.

So does anyone here have any information regarding the voice acting? I am an anime nut and thus love japanse voice acting mainly cause i dont understand it at all and it gives games a more fantasy like expierience :)

thanks and hi again :)

ps: i miss iron :)

I'm only afraid that the best thing of this game will be the nostalgia factor. Every new region i encounter brings back the good feel of ff7. Even the missions in a revamped chocobo farm. The thing i am afraid of is if people never played ff7 that they will not like this game as much as people who have played. But even so, this game is still one of the best psp games currently released.

Oh man, this game is so awesome. I bought it together with a psp last saturday and played almost non stop. The look, the feel, the familiar places, the music. As a true ff7 junky, this game delivers and more. I'm currently at chapter 4 i think, just got 1st class, dunno the chapter that is ^^.

I particurly like the mission system. Since its a handheld, missions are a great addition. Like when time is short and u wanna play some. p00f, a couple missions and i'm happy.

The game is a bit easy though, i think i shoud have started hard mode. But there is a time and place for evrything. What i dont understand though is the DMV system, i wanna summmon on my own accord! ah well, i'll play one when i get back home. just wanted to share that i think this game is awesome and that europe is finally lucky enough that they can buy it :)

Well the problem with these kind of games is, i love to do them, but i suck at it.  I just have no idea what to do and i mess up alot i think. I am currently at a lvl 10 dungeon, all my chars are lvl 20+ and when i send all 12 of them in, they all come back dead or they ran away. I really dont get these kinda games :p

Hello evryone,

Has anyone bought this yet? I have and i must say its kinda addicting. I'm not really good at it, and thats mainly cause i feel that i leave things out. I havent bought the other races/dungeons yet. Cause there are no wii points cards available yet. But am starting over once i buy all the extra content and then it should all go pretty good after that.

But does anyone have good experiences with this game? And does someone know of a tool how i can "build" my town, before i actually build it? I'd like to plan it out the next playthrough :)

General Discussion / Re: Favourite FF game in the series?
« on: 2008-05-23 05:42:00 »
well, lets make a post :)

My fav FF game is prolly Final Fantasy IX. The story and feel of the game was amazing. I also like the specific job system wich really lets you choose who to use and who not to use. Eventhough i ended up with Zidane, Dagger, Freya and Vivi/Amarant for the most part of the game. Zidane cause he can steal and i always want a steal option in my team, Dagger cause she looked better than the other baby healer. Freya cause i use a Spear user is all my FF games(spears ftw!) And Vivi or Amarant depending on the situation. If i need magic its Vivi, if i need Physical its Amarant.

My second fav is Final Fantasy VII. I know evryone is in to this game, but its really because its such a good game. Cloud for the sword, Cid for the Spear and Yuffie as ranged. All in back row(with a long range equipped with both cloud and cid). Never actually finished the game, did get to northen crator part 3 or 4 times and then stopped ^^.

I'm currently enjoying Final Fantasy XII. Although most of the battles are auto pilot. I feel less in control then with a basic turn based game like 1-9. This game does however remind me of Secret of Mana. It has the same kind of play style, only a bit more auto pilot then the trough(sp?) hack and slash that Secret of Mana was. And seeing as Secret of Mana started as and is in Japan named after the final fantasy franchise i guess thats no wonder. I only think that the: you can become evrything from this game is a bit too much. I am a fan of each char having its own weapons.

General Discussion / Final Fantasy 12, the characters?
« on: 2008-03-10 16:22:21 »
Hey evryone, long time no see :D

Anyways, i got a question. I just bought FF12 and just started playing it. And i'm wondering why no one talks about the characters. I like to know some stuff about characters like how they are, where they come from, what weapons they prefer to use(lore wise or just personal choice). I'm at the point now where i am in jail. So i met about 4 or 5 characters i think. But that license system is really creepy. Seeing as potentially evryone can use evry weapon. Anyways, i searched the net for some personal info about the characters, but there doesnt seem to be any.

48
omg, this is amazing.

I personally like Lunatic Moon from Sixto Sounds and zicron the best. Amazing song.

49
Well i got it now, and sorry for the weird spelling of the last post i was kinda drunk when i typed it and didnt have time to spell check it myself :p

I also might add that although this game has a verry booooooooooooring start its actually a cool game. Did some chocobo training and then raced the guy, got a Sun Sigil on my second try. Went to Remien temple and had a chocobo race there and got some wings and other stuff. And the monster arena guy asked me to catch him some mobs. I also beat the crap out of those 2 ronso guys and now got evry ronso rage thingy in the game except the last wich i reckon is what i'll get much, much later :) but now, work time :)

PS: post #400 :)

Ok cool thanks :)

anyways, another question popped up, i've got loads of overdrives now and eetting new modes as i progress, so i looked up what kind of actions were needed to get certain kinds of overdrive. And i want the overdrive mode Warrior for Lulu since she is prolly my main attacker since i always need some elemental dmg, yet she hasnt got that skill yet. And i damage ALOT of enemies. Do i need to use physical attacks to gain that overdrive mode or are magical attacks sufficient? If so do killing blows count as killing blows and damage done, or just killing blows. Cause if the latter is the case i can understand wjy i havent got it yet :)
