Where is the best place/location for test battles in FF7?
Where do most of you test your models/edits/hacks/patches etc?

personally I've tested my mod in random locations. I've copied all my savegames and tried most of them one after another.

problem is a kept my save games from waaaaaaaaaay back in 1999/2000
I have my infamous 'skipped through the beginning of the game all the way to Junon' and the Never changed my initial weapons and most equiptment through the whole game (clouds ominslash in the last fight with his buster sword) and only had level 1 limit breaks and cleared the game in was it 18 hours or 12?
Also saves from debug room, also cheat saves and my favourite was when I took a hex editor and destroyed my sister's save!
Amazingly there was some weird equiptment and materia produced!

Someone might want to have a look at that :)

So I am abit spoiled for choice to test things like formation edits at.

I am trying to find fights with the least amount of different combinations of enemy, and also the fight with alot of different enemies.
Oh, and maybe a scene file number to go with :)

which memory hacker/editor do people here use?
i tried using memhack from L.Spiro, but it isnt the best to get my head around.
I just need something direct that I dont have to keep converting to and from hex everytime I want to change a number in memory

EDIT:

Heres some photo evidence of that weird save with bizarre materia etc
If you add or remove the materia (there are like 8 of these) your HP and MP can go from 99 to 9999 (999MP) or back again.
Cloud dies automatically at the start of every battle and ISNT present on the screen. Plus his weapon if removed doesnt show again in the weapon list. (so I wasnt able to get the name of it)
