Scripting and Reverse Engineering / Re: Python IDE
« on: 2006-10-12 14:25:09 »
Well, I installed it and it is kind of touchy. You see, Python 2.5 is out and most of the libraries are for Python 2.4, and Eclipse was giving me shit about 2.4 being obsolete.

I think I got around it, though.

So, do you happen to know a good tutorial on writing text editors?

Does anyone know of a good free Python IDE?

TCL_LINK_STRING

The C variable is of type char *. If its value is not null then it must be a pointer to a string allocated with Tcl_Alloc. Whenever the Tcl variable is modified the current C string will be freed and new memory will be allocated to hold a copy of the variable's new value. If the C variable contains a null pointer then the Tcl variable will read as ``NULL''.

http://www.tcl.tk/man/tcl8.3/TclLib/LinkVar.htm

Also, does "creator" automatically null terminate?

When I last used it, Mandrake was pretty easy to use.

I've been using FreeBSD, also. I'm happy to say that it hasn't crashed. Ever.

I'm not to knowledgeable about PC hardware, but isn't the Windows GUI written as pixels to the video card? Is there some kind of acceleration I don't know about?

By any chance does Dirge of Cerberus use the Bouncer engine (or a modified version of it)?

I've had problems with various installers and svchost. Killing the svchost in question usually solved the problem.

Since you guys seem to know your stuff, could anyone here recomend me a good 7 string classical guitar, either acoustic or electro acoustic, steal strung,

I don't think they make 7 string classical guitars, but you should be able to find some standard acoustic or acoustic/electric ones (which I am still not sure exist). You might have to built it yourself.

If Ovation made one, I would go with that.

Run a full scandisk. Your hard drive may be dying.
Another posibility is bad RAM. Use MemTest86 at http://www.memtest86.com/

Do you get an error that says your profile is still in use?

FAT32 would be your best bet; I don't think Linux can write to NTFS.

Its size limit is 2048GB. The problem you might have, though, is that its maxium file size is 4GB.

Scripting and Reverse Engineering / Re: Good Assembler?
« on: 2006-08-06 23:42:38 »
By libraries, I mean it is almost impossible to find GLUT libraries and such. I've looked into the GNU assembler; I didn't like the syntax and it lacks the ability to align data, which I believe SSE requires.

I've tried NASM and I don't like it's inability to output to the PE format. FASM can do this, but it lacks good command line options. I considered MASM32, but I didn't like the license. I looked into YASM, but as far as I can tell, it has the same problems as NASM.

Sakurai intended Kirby to be pink. However, Shigeru Miyamoto had envisioned him as yellow. Because of this ambiguity, Nintendo of America was left with a bit of confusion when the game was ported to the West. As a result, the American box art, cartridge label, and instruction booklet for Kirby's Dream Land features Kirby as white. The Japanese box art, however, correctly depicts Kirby as pink. In later games Kirby gained the ability to switch colors. While his appearance and lack of dialogue make his gender ambiguous, several manuals and games have referred to him as male.

What assembler do you prefer? I am learning it and am having some problems with some assemblers over others (mainly being that it is hard to find libraries).

1. HOUSE (Fox): Definitely one of the best combinations of sarcasm, Medical drama, and human drama, all in one hugely entertaining package. Some of the best dialog and situational dramas since "West Wing".

I forgot to put that on my list, but that is a good show.

How about putting in some DiMarzio's? Virtual PAF neck and bridge. Or, if they aren't hot enough for you, you could use a Super Distortion and a Super 2. They are all passive. Check out their website: http://www.dimarzio.com/

Also, put in some better tuners. Grovers come to mind. I've heard about problems with some, though.

Definitely put new strings on it if you haven't.

As for vibrato, that isn't really a vibrato guitar.

Here is my equipment:

Epiphone Special II
Vintage Sunburst
Stock
Earnie Ball 10s

Epiphone Les Paul Classic
Faded Cherry
Came With Grover Tuners (I have a feeling those weren't stock)
Stock
Earnie Ball 9s

I miss my Epiphone Dot; I returned it because it had a finish defect.

My amps are an Epiphone Studio 10 (it came with my one guitar) and a tube amp I built myself. It's like a Champ but with a different power tube.
