I got a d/l speed of 0.11MB this morning but the d/l speed was a bit unstable for some reason. Sometimes it dropped as low as 20k/s.

That's wierd, my d/l speed was pretty consistent, usually 20kbps. (I have ATT@home cable) but that was before i put these links up. It probably has a lot of people d/ling now.

But it was worth it, huh?

I get larger files from the college T1 connection

Too bad it's behind a firewall and proxy so I can't connect to p2p services.

Yeah, our school just got a load of new PC's in (we used to have Acorns) and they've got really high internet security. You can hardly do anything on them, only run the programs that are on the desktop and go on some sites.

My old school came to the conclusion that to stop me trying to "hack the network" or whatever they simply gave me administrative access and I kind of became the pupil administrator and I reset peoples passwordz if they 4got them... oh and for a small fee I reset their printer credits too!!!!

We made "organised" Doom matches on the network I wasn't allowed to put on Unreal Tournement on the network cause the Admin didn't want DirectX going on to the system

Good God .. Doom! man i feel all old now.. i am too used to Half Life.. If you ask me that is better than unreal tournament.. it involves more strategy than just run with good ol Mr. Flak Cannon and blow stuff up.. but UT is Awesome!!! i just like half life better.. I remember Doom Modem Matches with my friend.. we would play that game for hours tying up the phone linez.. i look back and wonder how the hell we did that...

You can use loads of stragy in Unreal Tournument. My play style makes up for my lack of acuracy while fireing.

I play a defensive - with counter offensive most of the time. I will duck round corners take cover. Wait a few seconds slip out of the corner and fire a shot or two. I usely play Instagib. These tactics can be very effective.
My play style revovles around outthinking my oponent and becuse I do this on a luckey day you can find me quite near the top in a death match.
Find out the easy places to kill people and what you can do to avoid being killed yourself there.
If you really want stragy in Unreal Tournument then you can have your cake and eat it. And you can pull a gun out of that cake and blast all your other fellow deathmatchers with it to.

Now I dont know about Doom. That seems like a straght shooters to me. And half life death match dosent even deserve the capitals. Its crap.

And oh yes Jedi Mark dosent your computers automaticly have Direct X? I mean it comes with windows and many many apps now a days use it. So maybe you should just install Unreal any way. I garentie it. Playin git over lan is amzezing. Especially when your the best player in your year and you can run around a level on god like with no one even touching you

I'm not sure if we're using RM, I think we are. Ive heard of RM security somewhere before so we probably are. I'll check then tell you, then you can tell me all about it!

We had RM at Secondary School and as I remember if you right clicked on the desktop you could create a shortcut to anywhere.... if you can find the address of the Server you can put that in and then get access to everyone's files. The address for our server was \Server2 !!!!

I never download those movies, they take too long.

I dont think we've got RM, its this other thing. ARGH! I cant remember what it was. But its really tight, nothing happens when you right-click so the shortcut thing wont work. You cant do much. Like its got MSN Messenger in the system tray but nothing happens when you double click on it. I managed to start it up via IE but it was a really old version and the system wouldnt let me connect to MSN!

If you really *must* watch them but don't have the bandwidth to d/l them, I can probably spare some time to burn them to CD-R's for you guys. The only problem is how you guys are gonna pay me for it. I would usually do them for free but if too many people ask me, It might be logical for me to charge a minimal fee to cover for the postage and CD-R cost.

Really!? I'd be very greatful if you could put them on CD and send them to me. I could send you around Â£10, would that be enough? Or would it cost more for shipping? I have no idea how juch it is in Malaysian money, try a currency converter. If its too much then keep the change, if it's not enough I'll pay more. Thanks. That's 53.9312 Malaysian Ringgit!!!
It's certainly more than enough if I send by standard air mail postage.
I'll go check how much FedEx postage costs if you want.

So far, it takes up nearly 2 CD's.
FYI, it only costs me 2 Malaysian Ringgit for one CD-R. So, 2 CD-R's cost me RM4. And that leaves me with about another 50 Ringgit to spend on postage. The only problem is how are you gonna send me the money?
