Thanks Cowbell for showing me the Shinra Explodes 2... I didn't noticed the other music in the same file... For me, lasts only lb2_awe too, but as far I know, this music file doesn't make part of the game... Maybe I'm wrong...

I just got it with a MP3 trimmer I just downloaded, but how do I deal with Shinra Explodes 1 and 2, and lb_2awe? Can someone explain it to me? That is to say, which part of the song is it? Haven't played FF7 in three years, just got started recently and wanted to try these mods.
I'll help you out! Using LGP Tools you can extract the original MID from the game, so you can compare the two files, MP3 and MID. The path for MID files is Final Fantasy VII\data\midi\midi.lgp .

I don't know if PSF has the same quality as MP3, but the only FILE that I don't have for my OST is si - Shinra Explodes 2. If someone has this file, send me, please.

Cyb, I'm REALLY sorry for my bad expression with your argument... This happened 'cause I have just a little practice in writing in english... I'm good on translation... I just want to say that no one who has the knowledge about the whole process is helping me... But you're right to move this topic to other session... I've made a mistake thinking the subject of my topic is related to Game tweaking...

If you know anything about the subject, help me, please. If you don't, but also know someone who knows how to do it, please let me know...

And one more thing: I'll try that web site you've spoke above! Thanx for the info!

My apologies!

Peace!

Wrong forum, a moderator needs to move this, as it's more Tech related.
Also try using the search button.
Cyb
I think you're wrong, Cyb, 'cause this subject is very interesting (not for americans and other people that speaks english) for the people all over the world that wants to play this game (just like others games) in the natural language of their country... I just wanted to join all the possible info about this subject in one topic, so the people will not need to do lots of searches or to read topic by topic... Just one topic with full information would be GREAT!

Sadly no one is helping... Poor lucky of mine...

Hey Twilight I need just one MP3 to complete my music list. I'm at work right now, so when I'll be at home I'll send you the name of last song. The other ones I've edited in Sound Forge and compared to the original MID files and got the right music. Good work in this tutorial!

Peace!

Yo,

I'm new in this forum but I need help in the translation process of FF8 to Brazillian Portuguese, and yet this topic can help other people over the world who wishes to play this fantastic game in their own language.

  • First, I need tools to extract and edit the text, menu, etc...
  • Second, someone with some experience that already translated the game to his own language could give me some info about the files that contains text, menu and all the stuff needed to transform the game.

All help will be appreciated!!!

(Sorry for my english, 'cause I'm brazillian and don't know much about writing in english, just reading...)

FF8 Tools / Re: Moomba Editor for FF8 [UPDATE 11.09]
« on: 2006-07-15 18:15:27 »
Moomba is a program written for FF8PL team, and only by joining that team you'll get access to it (at least that's what Colly said on subfan.pl forums :P). And it's not like "You won't get it because you're not worth it". It's private because there are some nasty bugs in it, and he doesn't want people to lose data because of it.
Try PM-ing him.

Thanks for the info. I'll try it later!

This topic is AWESOME! I've downloaded some stuff and already tested. I just want to know how can I use MP3 files instead MID. FF8conf22 does it? If it does, how can I configure to use it?

I know this is not the right topic for this question but I want to translate FF8 to portuguese, so I need some explanation how to do it... If anyone knows how can I do it, please help! I'm from Brazil, so excuse for any error in the text.

Peace!
