I'm assuming that the registry key actually does nothing. It does absolutely nothing in winxp....

Well, that's WinXP.

This is WinME, and I'm not getting any MIDI except out of WinAmp, and that's when I have it load a DLS...
I HAVE HOMEBREW RPGS I WANNA PLAY!!!

You have winME? Well there is your problem right there.

What soundcard do you have.

^^; Philips Acoustic Edge.

Look, I'm not getting MIDI out of any softsynths either. There's some funky reg key I'm missing for GM.DLS...

My best suggestion is to reload windows, and if you can, make it not ME. No, not me.... "M E"... millenium edition.

ME is about 10 time more stable than 98 ever was on my system.
You just have to tweak it, is all.

It runs perfectly for me, thank you. I'm not going to reload Windows, either...what a pain.

Anyone out there have thier DMusic reg keys I could look at?

Uh...didn't you post them in your other topic?

Maybe This will help...

Yeah I'll admit that you can get WinME to run a-okay. But let's face it, it's a pain when winmgmt.exe comes in out of nowhere...and then you have to replace it with a blank text file.

Nope, and that's also funny, my winmgmt never regenerated.

Then you must be one lucky sumvbitch. It has always come back right when I delete it in my version of winme.

Say, why don't you try mofokubik's awesome OWA remix in mp3 format?

You gotta upgrade man, drivers, directx, and maybe even windows... I checked out the soundcard though, it looks pretty good, may switch from creative to that. Because I will really be pissed off if creative drops dev on winxp drivers when a new os comes out, that would really really....it wouldnt be a very happy thing

Acoustic Edge hasn't gotten new drivers in awhile, it STILL works great, though.

QMSS is really the reason to buy it...the lower-budget models have had update after update, though. You may want to wait for Philips' next high-end card...
