General Discussion / Re: Megaupload down

Just keep a local copy of everything so you can re-mirror. Don't rely on one service.
I lost a ridiculous amount of links when MU went down, as well as a fresh 2-yr subscription. Gonna be more careful next time.

Was thinking of grabbing some flash drives, then breaking apart the big files using winrar, not as efficient as Mediafire but with the government on the warpath, i see no alternative at the moment.

Perhaps now is a good time to get those files up on Multiupload.
What if Mediafire was taken down next?

better not be, i got my sh*t up on it.

then again SOPA got dealt a pretty big blow with the vote postponing.

General Discussion / FF8 leveling mod anywhere?
« on: 2012-01-03 18:06:28 »
Hey guys, i finally, after a nightmarish bath of anger and urge to murder square executives, got FF8 working right on my newer laptop.

However, the one thing i've never liked about the game is the whole "monsters level up with you" thing, i'm wondering if there is a mod to make monster levels static around, as i haven't seen one while searching.

This is 3 days late, but Merry Christmas. Regardless of whether or not a person celebrates it, it's still recognised governmentally as Christmas in this country. Therefore, it's Christmas. So a late Merry Christmas!

Not everyones from the same country dude, but i get what your sayin.

I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A LOT OF FUN, i sure did... mmmmm.... dressing....

damnit i'm hungry now.

Not in and of itself, but it's a problem when it's for the sake of being politically correct. PC is always wrong, even when it feels right.

Merry Christmas y'all!

I don't do it for political crap, i just say it in case i'm speaking to someone who doesn't celebrate christmas, you know, let them know i don't care what they celebrate 's long as they're having a good time.

nothing wrong with saying happy holidays.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!

although i'd kill for an HD release of the Drakengard games...

for me, i don't mind depending on what changes they make.

for instance, i wouldn't mind an updated materia system, but i don't want them to toss the materia system out.

another change i'd like to see? more boss fights with Rufus damnit!!

Plot changes are tricky, as they'd likely change some things to suit the cannon they've made. throwing in a genesis appearance or something, which, unlike many, i personally wouldn't mind, however i want the core of the game to follow the same path.

one thing i'm going to complain about is just how quickly i got through all the factions such as the thieves guild, Dark Brotherhood, etc. compared to how long it took in earlier games such as oblivion.

i've got it and while i like it, some things are a little messed up. one of the first quests i got ended up with me facing a boss that i could not possibly beat at such an early level.

May I ask why do ripping is illegal although those model are from square enix? Its quite logical to think. Ripping from other games... Final Fantasy Crisis Core, Dissidia are related why do some people consider it Illegal to ripped?.. Those are both Final Fantasy Game Series.

as said, square has not allowed it, and the forums don't need them coming crashing down around them like sector 7.

« on: 2011-10-02 18:56:43 »
i hate to do this but..

i finally pulled ff7 out again and reinstalled, got this installed, but i seem to have forgotten pretty much everything i ever knew, now with this installed, i'm playing but i'm not getting any music, at all, whether i choose remastered or PSF...

shoot me now, but does anyone know what's causing this.

EDIT: sorry, after fighting and winning a battle music started playing normally. dunno why, just disregard this message.

i'm gonna speak once, and then not again because i don't feel like getting into an idiotic flame war.

it isn't that everyone else is a fanboy, the problem is you are, and can't understand that not everyone likes the same damn thing as you.

i personally loved FFXIII, go ahead, insult me, see if i care (hint: i don't), you can like an old school game, but when it gets to the point that the company isn't going in the direction you want, and you start calling out people that enjoy the games they're given out, it just makes you look sad.

go ahead, insult my opinion, just call me "another fanboy" i honestly don't care, all i ever see Kuugen doing is insulting peoples opinions on this when they conflict his own, a little less so for DLPB but i digress.

funny how Hulu will tell you they are attempting to move in to your country when they, quite obviously, are not.
