i thik you mean this barret..

JLOUTLAW made the field conversion, too bad i think he's not active here  anymore.. we decided that he will make a separate release thread of his models, I'm not sure if he did, coz that barret model was not very popular, most like the original look for barret i think..

Sorry I also dont have that model with me.. with luck someone in the forum might be able to help you..

Sorry just curious whether Im going to run into any problems. I know Ive been told its fine as long as I build the characters myself but Ive been reading up on the subject.. I think if I base my models off other better looking ones in square games they can still slap me with a cease and desist.
hmm.. as long as the model you are working on does not have any (no matter how small) ripped content, it is ok to share it.

while..

people taking models from other games (FFVII based ones) and editing them for use in FFVII

Now that's a big "NO" :( , we are not allowed share or distribute models with ripped content even if the other game is FF7 themed.

how public I should be with my projects until Ive completed them. What do you think?

It depends on you really, if your a beginner and could use some help while your work is on progress you can post updates of your work, otherwise do what you think is better.. ;D ;D ;D

We have few or close to none mods for cait sith here so good job! just make sure to stay clear of ripped models it could cause some issues here.

Also when testing models in-game use the direct method in installing the mod, that way you dont need to recompile your lgp's again ..

whoops, looks like things are starting to move again.. sorry omega cant find the files for the other two textures, the purple & yellow/gold one, I can make a short work on it when I got hold of the green textures, it would be easier then, I'll get back to you when its done.

@Omega, I'm done with the textures.. I'm uploading it atm on our shared folder @ Google drive check the Frog Textures folder, the files are still in BMP btw.

dunno.. hmm if its just minor alterations I think its ok..
I think I read something about APZ not encouraging alterations on his work, you might have to check on it first :D ..

due to some reasons (which I know no one cares about so I wont bother explaining, LOL ;D ;D) I'm finding it hard to have time for modding lately.. updates on models might take some time.. ..

If your referring to zerox tifa model, then sorry, its off limits since that model uses ripped parts.

Yeah, I know people get really busy most of the time cause of a lot of things, and most of us here (if not all) has other more  important priorities.

But it would really be appreciated if he at least visit here, drop a post saying if he's still planning to continue this or if this project is dead so we know if there still something to expect here. I doubt it would take a lot of time and effort to do so.

Yes, that was intentional to make his collar sit farther in front of his face.

When I made this revisions I was limited only with kimera as my model editing tools so I cant edit individual body parts then (aside from resize and reposition).

I can use blender now and able to make simple models and edits so if I have time I'm planning to redo most of my revisions using the improve skills I acquired so far. I just can't seem to find a lot free time now to work on this.. christmas is coming and with it a lot of deadline for work, LoL ;D ;D

ok, I'll keep that in mind when I make a version 2 of my vincent revision, I was waiting for such comments and suggestions when I released my revision of vincent, but there where no further comments on my thread and it was silent for a long time so I assumed there are no problems..

Hi! I'm in the process of porting the HQ Cid model I'm working with to FF7 format,
I'm wondering if anyone here would be so kind to please send me a copy of the vanilla battle.lgp file?
You can send it via mail to [email protected]

I don't have the FF7 game installed in my computer right now so when I'm done with Cid I'll be releasing it for other people to test it in-game, If all goes well I'll be releasing it sometime this weekend.

how did you go with the direct method?

Releases / Re: New RedXIII model
« on: 2012-12-06 00:55:08 »
I have not seen or known of other redXIII model on par or better than this one. ( Aside from ripped models)

I have been using this mod before, basing on my experience this mod has no general fault/issues that may cause errors, so I'm inclined to believe that your problems are caused by either bad computer compatibility or user error while installing.

You said you tried everything, so have you tried installing via direct method? With this we can rule out the possibility of error in recompiling.

Or are you using a legitimate version of FF7 and not the Ultima like Pitbrat said above?

yep, thats what I have in mind, once an HDD fails it's no longer reliable, so I guess I'll go with that suggestion..

Is there a way to access files from an HDD with damaged head without repairing first?

Had my HDD checked by professionals last week, they said the drive needs head replacement, so it really was a hardware problem, a complete repair will cost a lot so I'm thinking of saving some money first.. for all the help here thank you very much!

No offence to the modeller the model itself is good but he looks way to flat like hes been squished.

If someone could get the permission to slightly modify it to fix it iltd be appreciated so it could be re-released with the Vincient's weapons re-model im doing

jinkazama is not updating this thread anymore, this thread has been inactive for more than a year I think.. like omega said  jin may have been banned from here,

I already made my revision on this model..

I even used the vincent model I revised with your gun model I textured

If you don't prefer my vincent model revision, you can give me suggestions.. since I'm still planning to improve this if I have time, although right now I'm still busy..

Troubleshooting / Re: Save anywhere in FF7 issue
« on: 2012-12-04 03:38:49 »
I'm not an expert in bootleg.. but its always recommended to install bootleg on fresh installed FF7, in your case you re-run bootleg on a ff7 with intalled mods already, that may have caused the problem, so I suggest reinstalling ff7 first then install bootleg with your prefered settings.. hope that helps
