Releases / AVALANCHE Arisen Alt Enemy Battle Models

Not much to say about this one. After seeing the alt models SegaChief added into New Threat I decided to make some of the notable enemies have alternate models.

Currently only the Turks are done, but over time more will get edited. These will work with New Threat, and Tseng will ONLY work with New Threat.

To install download the IRO below and place it into your 7th heaven mods folder then activate the mod and place it above any other model or gameplay mod.

Post Apocalypse Turks ( Fist of the North Star is my Favorite anime btw  :wink: )

So right about now you are thinking to yourself "O boy, do I ever so wish I could play FF7 the way that it was originally intended"?
Well, strap the $&@# in because I recently found a time machine lying around and went back in time to Square HQ and swiped an original unedited copy for use!

Presenting The Barret Mod

What is this mod?:
  • This mod is the byproduct of the sick minds of Uprisen and SegaChief.
  • A complete graphical overhaul where every model in the game have been "Barretized"
  • A perfect gift for loved ones of all ages

What this mod isn't  :
  • Your grandmas FF7 experience.
  • 100% complete

What this mod will become:
  • The HARDEST difficulty mod available, with tons of new story and battle related content and dialogue changes (im tied up in another project at the moment so creation of the gameplay portion has yet to commence)
  • 100% complete (if you find missing models or bugs of any kind post and I will patch them out)

Misc information:
  • Since most Player Battle Models use Barrets skeleton limit breaks do not preform the proper action. All limit breaks have been tested and do function properly even if they dont appear to.
  • Due to the limitations built into the game Tifa and Vincent use their original skeletons. Their character id's are tied to their limit breaks and changing the limit breaks or using a non-original skeleton causes the game to soft lock.
  • Red XIII's field model will match his battle model upon release of the "Barret Difficulty"
  • Mini game models are in process of being created and will be released as a separate IRO ( these are alot of work, and putting minigame models in a packed IRO has some odd results sometimes)
  • Graphical portion is not fully compatible with gameplay IRO's such as New Threat or the Hardcore mod. Those mods add custom enemy models that share the id's of some of the models in the Barret mod. I have no current plans to remedy this, but if you would like to I will explain the process.

Hello all! Making this post to have an official centralised location for all that is New Threat speedrunning until/if it gets accepted as a selected category on speedruns.com. If there is anyone interested in helping us route out or wants to compete for the WR we would love to have you. As of now only LuckyStax and myself are openly routing/running this mod. Lucky has completed the entire run on the march patch but only running on the current patch will be accepted, and when any patch is added we will have to determine as a group if the old leader boards need to be cleared or if the versions are similar enough that the old times can stay.

WIP / [FF7PC] AVALANCHE ARISEN Magic Textures

Are you using upscaled magic textures? Do you always wish that they were just a tiny bit better? Well look no further as I am now in the process of re-texturing the magic and effects. This will be a mostly complete retex of all the magic textures (some ill just waifu and smooth out for ease / they are already good textures) And will also include several different limit break textures, coming in a variety of color variants as well.


Ill be updating every couple of days with some new screenshots or general update news. I don't expect this to take more than a month or so but we'll see. You can come watch me work on these almost daily at https://www.twitch.tv/uprisen

Hello all,

My name is Uprisen and I am the Project Manager for Project Echo-S and the founder of AVALANCHE ARISEN.
AVALANCHE ARISEN is a sister group to Project Echo-S and our primary goal is to remake, remodel, and retexture all the visual aspects of Final Fantasy VII. This includes battle scenes, field scenes, character/enemy/npc models, world map, and spell/summon animations. As of this moment I have a first release of the Battle Texture IRO. It contains every battle scene in the game retextured to the best available quality I could produce. I will continue to update these scenes as I have recently learned how to adjust the models for the scenes which will fix some of the clipping and spacing issues that are currently in this mod.

I started this project 6 months ago with zero prior experience and this iro is the result of over 200 hours of work.








Download:
To install extract the IRO from the 7z file and place it in your ff7/mods/7th heaven folder then launch 7h and it will appear in your library.

New ULTRALITE pack now available on nexus. 256x256 max textures to match vanilla. Just a simple waifu downscale and pack is untested and will not be updated unless I also make a major texture change to the full pack.
