Bump! Alriiiight... back on topic!
Current SNES state: Frigg'n awesome
So far, I've purchased a broken SNES on ebay for parts, 2 hexagonal GameBit tools (Nintendo really didn't want people opening up the system easily!), (1) 5V blue LED, and some washers. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so I'll share 5000 words with you
! The pictures are somewhat blurry, because my workspace was dark and the camera had trouble focusing.
Original red power LED... it was an um, pain (understatement), disassembling the SNES.
After un-soldering the red LED, I replaced it with the blue one I bought at Radio Shack.
My neat and tidy workspace
The one I bought on ebay...
Its current state...
After finally putting all the pieces back together, I decided to put phillips head screws in to hold th console together, instead of the flower-shaped ones it came with. I salvaged some perfect fits from the motherboard of the broken SNES! w00t.
