FF7 Crash at Startup
« on: 2006-07-19 07:46:36 »
When I try to run FF7 the screen goes black and it doesnt work. I have used the chocobo patch and the 1.02 config but it still doesnt work. I also have the hi res mod installed because I thought it would make it work but it didnt. I have tried all combinations with the resolutions, renderer, and riva/tnt but it doesnt work.

ati radeon 9200
1.5 GHz
Xp home edition
SP2

I have searched the forum and look at the complete faq thread but I couldnt find anything that related to me.

Can you please help me?

Install DirectShow filter from Install CD. If movies play upside-down, try the upside-down patch (see the FAQ that you've read).

Uninstall your codecs before installing it. You can install them later.

Go to Start
Go to Control Panel
Go to Add\Remove Programs
Uninstall your codec pack whatever they might be labeled
