SOLVED: Sound fx and graphics problem
« on: 2012-03-22 00:29:07 »
Hello all, i wonder if you can help me to solve my problem.
I have installed: ff7_opengl-0.7.11b, FF7 Unified Model and ff7music15113.
The problem is that after a few minutes of play, sounds effects disappear and appear random garbage on the screen, music is ok (everything works fine a few minutes). Please help I would love to play with mods. Thanks in advance.

Hi motoba,

open ff7_opengl.cfg with any text editor (Notepad, ...)
  • check these parameters:

       #music_plugin = plugins/ff7music.fgp   remove the #

       use_shaders = no

       compress_textures = no

       use_pbo = no

  • add these lines at the bottom:

       # Disable Error Notifications
       disable_popup = on

Run  .\FF7Music\FF7Music.exe as Administrator and compare your setup with my screenshots:

Hi UGerstl. I solved the problem and I'm stupid. The whole problem was the screen saver. :o
Anyway, thank you.
