Archive / Stretching FF8
« on: 2004-07-09 18:07:10 »
I was playing FF8 on my old PC and wanted to know if it is possbile to stretch the quarter screen mode to full screen. I don't care if it's pixelated. I'm used to using CVGS so it doesn't matter. I just don't like using CVGS because I don't like what my CD-RW drive has been doing to the disks recently. My PC works better with the PC version as well. I could really use some help on this. Thanks!

Archive / Strange brightness...
« on: 2004-07-02 22:42:24 »
In FF8 when I use Eden, there seems to be this dark spot. Maybe this image will help:

Notice the weird lighting that happens?? It's not as bright or coloful as it should be. It looks too pale. There's also some weird junk in the front of the galaxy image. It's a lot of what I'm supposing are polygons that aren't used right. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Scripting and Reverse Engineering / FF1 Project
« on: 2004-06-24 01:21:17 »
I'm currently working on hacking the FF1.NES ROM and the point is to edit it to something of a FF7 remake or maybe a different storyline? Give some feedback for ideas. I'm using some tools off of Zophar's BTW. Thanks.

Scripting and Reverse Engineering / FF9 PC
« on: 2004-06-21 04:32:22 »
I've heard of some XBLOX emulators that essentially convert the XBLOX game into a native Windblows application due to the fact that both Windblows and XBLOX are so similar. (Damn you Microsoftdrink!!) And I was wondering if it's possible to do that with PSX games. If you could then that would open up a lot of doors for reviving old games. You could even run them with DirectX and such. I know someone is going to answer either Connectix Virtual Game Station or EPSXE even though it's not the same. The experience is very different. If it was possible to convert these old friends, it would be great. Imagine playing Armored Core or Monster Rancher 2 on your PC without having to go through an emulator. Especially FF9. I know it's a little far-fetched, but I think it's an opportunity for a project. Maybe even an emu that runs on XBLOX that runs PSX games. Thanks.

General Discussion / Fun with FF8 Videos!
« on: 2004-05-22 02:00:48 »
That was fun. Put on some awesome music to the background of FF8 videos and just watch it put on a show of it's own! My favorite was playing Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn" to the background of the "Dancing with Rinoa" clip. It was awesome! It was so powerful that it made me cry! :weep:  I'm sure you people have had some strong memories attached to some of your favorite songs(that's why they're your favorite songs! :D )

General Discussion / Favorite Final Fantasy Soundtrack
« on: 2004-02-29 00:12:41 »
mine is ff8's because nobuo uematsu made such a great soundtrack in such little time for this game. (i think it was 8 months) and because of the memories i have of the game, not to mention the great storyline (although some people don't think so). no offense to any ff7 fans but i personally think that the ff7 storyline was cut short due to:
1) the ginormous booklet that made only 3 discs fit thus only 3 discs to put the story on. although i think the big booklet was in gran turismo and three discs only fit in ff7 because that was all they wanted.
2) it seems like it is one story but switches to something else mid-story at an undistiguishable part.
3) the was kinda slow all the way through and didn't pick up until it was too late.
***sorry for going off topic***
