No "custom driver" option in renderer
« on: 2020-02-07 15:58:26 »
I reinstalled the game to C:\Games\ff7 but now there's no custom driver option to choose in render, only "software renderer" and "direct3d hardhare acceleration". I can still play with mods using 7h but my avatars are looking weird, not sure if that's the cause though. Can someone help me?

Don't use FF7Config.exe, it breaks the registry keys needed to make the OpenGL driver work.  Re-run the converter according to the tutorial instructions, and choose "overwrite" at the beginning.

Thanks, I did that but there's still no option to choose "custom driver" as before, even though the game is using opengl because all mods are working normal... Does it affect anything?

No.  Don't worry about the graphics tabs when the configuration tool runs, anything in there gets overridden by the registry keys the converter sets.  What's important is that you set your sound and midi correctly.
