There used to be this woman who was (still is, I would imagine) few years older than me. I'm 30, soon to be 31 - just for reference. I wouldn't say that she was really old, or even old, though.

Think I saw a  documentary or something a few nights ago on one of the History channels (for some reason they've been showing a whole lot of relegious stuff...probably due to this Da vinci fad), where they figured out that 666 was refering to Nero or some tyrant from the Roman era. Something about hebrew text matching up to his name or something.

Aside from all this, I remember hearing that the "666" was actually a mistranslation of what was supposed to be "616," the "true" mark of the beast or whatever.
I can't name any sources as I don't recall them now, but I'm sure that those who are actually interested enough can find them.
