Title: Looking for FF8 Steam HD true 60fps mod??

Is there some mode for this i saw a mod for FF7 60fps and it looks sooo  smooth would like to see that on FF8 steam version with updated Visuals  :D :D is there a mod for this or is someone working on it ??

The answer is no :P Someone may do at some point in the future, but it def won't be me.

No way! xD
That'd require reworking all animations and times. FFVIII remake from scratch is more likely to happen than this. We already lifted the frame-limiter, but every single animation is set to be played at 15FPS, therefore the game feels like it runs at double/triple speed.

The project was started in 2010
And I believe it's been cancelled.
It never got to 1.0, and that's for Final Fantasy VII, which even here has a much larger modding community and base.
For instance, there have been multiple mod loaders and installers for FFVII, and pretty much nothing for FFVIII.
Check out Tonberry if you have the Steam version though. It doesn't affect framerate positively, but it looks real nice.
