Title: Looking for the old FF7 Multi Patcher
Post by: PatMan33 on 2017-02-12 16:48:39
Greetings, glad to see that Qhimm still exists and is alive.

Reinstalling my copy of FFVII on an older laptop I salvaged. For years I kept a copy of the FF7 Multi Patcher around because it was quick and easy and did everything I wanted. But I've lost track of the disk I copied it onto and I can't seem to locate the patcher online. I've found plenty of threads but they all contain dead links or old information.

Also, before someone suggests that I get the new mod manager stuff, I tried it already and wasn't satisfied. It didn't do what I wanted. I don't want new graphics or the Advent Children remixes in the game. Just looking for that Multi Patcher, which gave me the Chocobo Patch, the music patch, and the FMV/resolution fixes all in a simple installer.

Anyone have a lead?

Depreciated method; use Anxious Heart (or Reunion 06 if it's out by now) + Aali's driver.

Use the gamesconverter and nothing more. It's everything you need.

Oh excellent, thank you for the quick response. I'll go give it a shot now.

You also need Anxious Heart  (http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12787.0) if you don't convert the game from the Steam version.

Will definitely need that, installing from the original PC release. Lots of nostalgia when the numpad template fell out of the case. lol

Just want to offer you sincere thanks, Kaldarasha.

Everything worked like a charm and the game has never looked or sounded better. Thanks to the community as well for over a decade of excellent work! :)

Yeah, Aali's driver practically took the PC version of the game from a steaming turd, to the defacto best single-handedly (for a multitude of reasons)
