Is it possible to disable the ability to rename any characters?

Got it, can't believe i missed that. Is there any way to use that extra black section at the bottom? I'd like to be able to move the text down a little more.

I can do it with Box FF7 using the Shift technique but can i do the same in MR? It actually makes a big difference

Yup, you're getting myn ext thing before i even say it. When it comes to having subtitles i need them boxes transparent but when it comes to choices i need them not to be.

EDIT: I got the transparency sorted along with the subtitle effect. Only thing i need now is how do i make the pointer hand start at option 0..

Example

        Yes
No -- Pointer starts here, i can move it up but i'd like it to start there

Perfect,  i did think Box FF7 would do it. The only reason i haven't tried this was with my voices mod i would have to release the subtitle change too. I haven't got the program to work with 7H yet so it'll be standard. How would i get the new text areas back into the game? So i can release the Flevel after with the pack

That should be fine, now when option 1 is selected for each folder it will activate. If you place a PNG file in the main folder named preview.PNG it will be the image for you mod and i changed the author to you :D

Yup that exactly how I would do it. Now the mod.XML is all that's left. Extract an existing mod from 7H and look at the mod.XML and pretty much copy it but adjust it to your mod

Looks good to me. I can write you an XML for this in the next hour if you'd like me too or try write it yourself with the information from the my post above. If you want to have multiple options to choose a cloud tifa model well need to change it a little but if its just the one your sorted

I'll try explain in full detail. Make a folder somewhere called mod or something. Inside the folder make a battle lgp folder and a field lgp folder. Put every file in the correct folder. You'll then need to write the mod.XML file. To get an example of this in 7h click the options at the top and there should be an option to create iro files and extract them too. Extract a working one and look how it works. You can nearly copy it. I would suggest using one that's similar to the one your making. Are you making player models ie cloud tifa. Or enemies

I could probably help with this but I'll need a pic of your main folder with everything in so I can write the mod XML for it. You can have a folder named battle.lgp and one called char.lgp. copy all files into the correct folder with no sub folders and it'll be easy. If you want everything separate and organised it'll take a lot longer.

Sorry for bringing this back but im having trouble with it. I tried a long while back when i had no idea how to mod myself and now i have a good deal of knowledge but not so much with the xml files. After downloading i renamed the 7Hexample to mod.xml. Hoping that was all i needed for the testers to work so i can figure it out myself but with this as an IRO 7H crashes at startup, the game runs and the voices do not play (the files inside belong to the kid next to the cat in wallmarket) any know where im going wrong?

Well no, i agree that the spelling and grammar should always be perfect in a game that was pure laziness on there side. Not everything is excused it just seems unfair to accept certain impossibilities and not others. You have to take the whole pack

The way i get round my minor issues with the game is to understand the game is named Final FANTASY. That means it's not meant to resemble realness so cloud can swing this human sized sword. Like if you wanted to pick at things then how come barret has a gun arm? It's not possible? Plus he never runs outta ammo in there. You have to take with a pinch/mound of salt. Plus on the bright side we can fix the crap they do that we don't like so it's not that much of a big deal. I know people here have earned the right to be fussy after all these years of modding but if it's such a big problem, let's make our game up to our standards. Without any copyright of course

Is there a way we can get the source code for 7h or would you know how they work at least. I do wanna create a new one. I have a design template and some good ideas for problem solving. I also want to include a way to view and customize models yourself so you can choose a specific outfit or head for your player. To so this I'd need a viewer like kimera inside the manager. I know its possible I'm just not a programmer

Is it normal that i didnt need any of this for windows 10? I installed as normal from the original disks

If you can find a download somewhere else for them, you can write your own mod.xml and make it an IRO using 7H

Like I get that you might miss something simple occasionally and that's fine but if everyone does it then it's just a nuisance. I would very much like to make my own mod manager. Not to replace her hard earned one but even maybe just one for dummies or personal with people that request. I'd feel bad for trying to take her glory

Hey i seen that all over the place every day people are having issues with it and must drive you crazy to the point where you've considered giving up. Helping people all day every day with basic things that are clearly stated in the written tutorial. I think just as a friendly opinion, feel free to ignore me here it's your thing. If you were to combine the Game converter with 7th Heaven and bring in an installer for it with an automatic system. If you had a command line somewhere in the program (Im no programmer so this probably is wrong but you should get the jist of it) If mod "Because is activated use ...exe and the equivalent for the others too" It could essentially replace the need for you to have to deal with all the questions. Maybe even add a tab at the top of the program Q&A. This isn't working because of this.

Sorry for imposing on your already perfect software, i know it must be a pain

Troubleshooting / Re: couldn't open movie file
« on: 2016-07-08 19:18:57 »
What you could do is make your own. If you learn how yo mod is written with the mod.XML inside the iro. You can fix it yourself. I get that modders may forget things and make mistakes. But I think the reason I'm the only one helping you here may be that the way you word your comments might come across offensive to them so they won't help. Just a little advice for the future. Be thankfully for what we do have rather than annoyed at what we don't. Than you'll get good answers from the people that actually make them

Well if ya wanna check it when the game is running minimize it and see if the movies are in that folder. Yeah I meant the movies folder. You could always open the iron with 7H in the file-iro manager thingy. Not sure what its actually called. But what f it works the way you have it now then fair enough
