Issue with the game converter
« on: 2016-09-19 17:11:06 »
hi there everyone just having a problem with the ff7 game converter when i load it up as administrator it is loading it up but when the game converter page loads it disappears 2 seconds after loading because i goes so quick i took a capture of what it shows and it says
"ERROR: The system is unable to find the specified registry key or value"
"ERROR: The system is unable to find the specified registry key or value"
"The syntax of the command is incorrect"

if anyone has and idea of what to do that would be a massive help was working yesterday but is just simply failing to do so today

All i can think of is, is it on the same harddrive as the OS, or try re downloading it.

It was working yesterday?? How come you need to run it again? Has anything you can think of happened since it last worked? Did you move or uninstall anything

Well its complaining about registery so press Win + R and type regedit. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\SQUARESOFT.INC\FINAL FANTASY VII

If you have steam it may be different. See if anything there looks wrong

No worries, hope i can help anyway. I mean last case resort if no one helps is do a system restore to yesterday. Last resort though, it's unnecessary

yeah thanks for the help i did have a look and the reg looks fine for it the only reason i was able to see exactly what the converter was saying is wrong because i had to get a 2 min video capture of it because when i was loading as admin it vanished 2 seconds after the cmd came up dont know what has changed since then it was working before even when ff wasnt on there it would just say it couldnt find the exe
