Do we need three discussions on the same topic?

Again, this is kind of my fault.   If people would quit posting their opinions in Game Tweaking this wouldn't happen, but at the same time I should have remembered to merge them together.

Addendum   Merged ONCE AGAIN, for about the 6th time.  This is getting old guys

Alright, sorry to revive a somewhat old thread, but I have a serious question about this. I don't quite know how to get the avatars to work in game. I have them downloaded and in my textures folder, but when i open the game, it's still same old same old. Did i maybe do something wrong?

How might I get this to work right?

Are you using the cache method for Aali's driver?? If so delete the avatars folder in the cache and then start up the game with the new avatars in the texture folder and it should work.

Are you sure you are in the right folder? search for the filenames of the original avatars and replace all of them.

Just tried that, and their all in the avatar folders. except for one, which was a .ctx file in the cache folder. I don't know how to work with .ctx files in the least bit.

Edit: oh, I missed nikfrozty's post. It works perfectly now, thanks.

When you enable the use of cache it saves the .png files to .ctx so that it will load much faster than loading the .png files all over again everytime. If you chang something to the .png it will not load it by default but instead load the save .ctx file in the cache. That's why you have to delete it if you change something in the texture folder for it to work. :)
