@ Kudistos Megistos:

Considering the first post screenshots the worldmap itself (as pyrozen posted) is already changed, isn't it?

I think your right, it has been updated, the screenshot in the first post suggests that its done

Is it normal that the game runs a little solwer on modern hardware (T8100, ati 3470, 4gb ram, 64bit OS)?

If you have this mod installed then yes, the game runs a little bit slower, but it should only happen when the game is loading one of the PNG images from your texture folder, most noticeably when you open the menu, or cast a magic etc.

Post any other problems you may have with this mod in this thread http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=8963.0

Is it possible to add a change pivot point option? When rotating some parts they pivot around a location quite far from the part, instead of pivoting around the center of the part

So, I'm having an issue with the always run patch...I can't sneak out of Arieth's house. Even holding the button to walk he ends up running after like 2 seconds.. :|

This is a known isuue with the always run patch. When sneaking out of her house on a non-patched game, holding down cancel makes you run, right? so if you hold cancel with this patch on, the game thinks your running! So don't hold cancel and go straight to the stairs sticking to the top of the screen :-D

Don't use ff7w uninstall / remove it  :-o, use Aali's driver instead: copy the ff7_opengl.cfg to the desktop and open it in notepad (it's part of Aali's driver), scroll down to resolution and set the resolution to a square resolution, then where it says full screen= yes, change yes to no and save the cfg and put in back into your ff7 directory. Make sure you run ff7.exe as an admin and your problems should be solved.

Also remember that once Aali's driver is running don't open your ff7config file as it disables the driver and will use the original driver again

Well initial tests have been very successful, there is no more slowdown when moving and sizing parts, the texture buttons work even when switching between models and the external undo/redo config is a nice touch, overall excellent work  :-D

Yo Borde,
I'm having the same problem as Mike.  It works just fine upon initial loading and repositioning.  But after only a few adjustments the entire program slows to a crawl when making ANY adjustment.

This is using field model if that matters any.

This is probably because of the undo/redo ability that's new in this version, best solution is to drag the slider rather than click the scroll buttons

You need to copy the 'Limit' folder into the 'MagicTex' folder
or edit the batch file and remove the \MagicTex part of this line ( copy "%cd%\MagicTex\Limit\*.*" "%cd%\magic\ff7\data\battle\limit2\tifa1\" /Y )

:-D

36
Nono, executing YAMP as an administrator doesn't work, too. You have to disable Vista's UAC (User-Account-Control).

This will help :)

I admit that turning UAC off is a solution, but running as an admin does work  :-D

I have one suggestion look in Game tweaking and search for menu or title , its not hard

You can use Wall Markets Character Growth Menu, there is a slider you can drag to change the characters level, then just click the desired stat listed at the bottom left and set the characters stats in Jenova to a value between the highest and lowest values that Wall Market gives you

If you haven't edited the characters growth in your kernel, your characters will eventually even-out just by playing, takes a while though...

Not Possible, well there is a way to do it but it kind of looks goofy

I've seen a youtube video where someone had done this, it doesn't look 'goofy', ultimately it depends on the image you use...

This is all good, but there have been a few main menu mods floating around, what I really want a tutorial on is how to get a full screen image at the main menu, with the new game and continue options over the image, do that and i'll think your a god!

Ok, I have a little bit of criticism , the Limit and Time Bars are now a lot brighter, I had to put the dark ones back in, cos I don't think the light ones are as good.

what does everyone else think?

Do I use that batch that the Beta 8 has? Because I don't have my GUI folder anymore lol.

Yes use the beta 8 patch.bat

Team Avalanche / Re: [REL] Team Avalanche's 2D Overhaul

Important: You should edit the batch file. Find

Code: [Select]
copy "%cd%\MagicTex\Limit\*.*" "%cd%\magic\ff7\data\battle\limit2\tifa1\" /Y
and change it to

Code: [Select]
copy "%cd%\Limit\*.*" "%cd%\magic\ff7\data\battle\limit2\tifa1\" /Y
then you are all set :)

Alternatively, just put the limit folder into the magic tex folder  :-D

Update on my Kimera Problem

The Texture options work on the first model I open, but if I use the same kimera window to open another model the texture options are not clickable  :|, so I have to close kimera and re-open it and then load another model, not much of a problem, but a fix would be nice
