I fully agree with that. Thank you so much Bynyl and I hope life is better now.

I would recommend Az's version because the clipping shadows are way too harsh on the other one. But at the end of a day it all comes to personal preference.

As you say, personal taste. I actually like the shadows better. Even though, I play with your “vanilla” UI (so non transparent). Thanks for the great work so far. I cannot wait to see what you are going to do with the mini games.

Great work. Definitely the most faithful UI. I started another playthrough with your UI and noticed how high quality the menu portraits were, so I decided to spend some time in Photoshop to make the backgrounds transparent and thought I'd share my work here if anyone wanted to use them. I could probably have made one more pass, but I personally can't see any remaining white outlines or artifacts on my 4K display. Anyone can do what they please with them, given Aavock (or whoever upscaled/scanned/cropped/edited them) gives their permission, of course.

Someone did a very similar job on the french board: https://ff7.fr/forum/index.php?page=post&ids=463806&pg=0 Maybe you can compare both of your versions?

Congrats :)

We will wait for you :) I am also a big fan of your pack.
But your health is the most important. Take good care of you.

If you click just above, on the "here", you are brought to a post in which there is the link to a torrent for downloading. Just checked it right now and it is working.

We are not agreeing. Look they spell it with one “r”. And we with two. 😉

Seriously though, I just mentioned what was the translation in French(nothing more). Honestly, I am not sure how much it should influence you Dan. The original translation of FF7 in French was not very good either. I don’t have any hard fact / good evidence that support Tomb or Tonb.

10
In the French translation, it is actually spelled Tomberry.

11
It’s the final countdown! Thanks a lot for all the efforts!

Looks amazing!

The last one was a bit of a surprise initially, but is the one I like the most.

It's possible that I tried it myself when I was curious about mastering Master materia (long time ago). What would happen then (if it would create a new Master or create all of the corresponding materia, ie new fire, ice... when mastering a Master Magic).
But if that was it, then I did not post anything about it but I assumed that it was common knowledge.

So by all means, it can be your discovery :)

Yuffie is one of my favorite characters :) but I agree that story wise, Cait Sith is probably more important.

16
My 2 cents but I was not surprised by your video. However, I cannot remember if / where I saw / read this before. To me, it seemed like common knowledge, but I guess I am wrong.

Nice! Really great progress.

Compared to the original, you are missing pieces of planks on the ground and around the flowers. Also the earth is not visible under the flowers.

Have you noticed also that the pillars are probably 3 and not 4 by group? And there is also a missing lamp (middle on the right).

I meant dirty for the room, not for the light. For example the wall where the posters are, is more brown / green. The red "carpets" have also a duller color. This gives a feeling that the room is more dirty / shabby. I hope this clarifies my comment.

Compared to the original, I think there is more (diffuse, soft) light in the original and it is more dirty.

En VF: Par rapport à l'original, je pense que l'original est plus lumineux (mais la lumière est aussi plus diffuse et attenuée) et aussi plus sale.
