I agree.. while magchocobo's work is really awesome I don't think it'll fit with the other models.. so..
solution.. magchocobo should just make textures of that style for all main characters, LoL.. that'll be awesome..

well here's my progress again I'm at loss right now for the mouth should I make the mouth slightly open(grinning) like that pic nightmarish posted?

now that I saw that image I think I'll revise the texture a bit to resemble the original more..

yup, that woud be better I think.. and if you can fix the ears, I think they're to small maybe increase the size, just a tiny bit..

I'll continue posting updates on the cid model in my thread.. I feel like I'm spamming here, :) :)peace..

not bad rayved. i updated the second postto include the renders of my model. do you want to continue this for a full model? or are you content with it as is?

Full model! I can't just have a head that looks like this on a body that doesn't fit lol. There's something wrong with your model's mouth, you should play around with it. He looks like he's about to cry or something lol.

yea i struggled with the mouth a bit. afterseeing the heads completed i can step down from this "competition" i will continue if it is a prerequisite for you to continue
whiteraven are you up to texture a full model?

using that logic ive arrived at this statement. you cant just have a cid that doesnt fit in the game. complete overhaul. im glad youre going to undertake such a tremendous task.

Looks really nice. You should make his upper lip slightly in front of the lower one.

Sure, I did the head already might as well do a complete texture. :)
I sent you the final head texture.. rendering in blender is not accurate it looks completely different ingame, so I removed the lights while rendering and include kimera screenshots on the image I sent.. check your pm :) :)

Yep, I agree  the lips needs a little tweaking.. though it's not really visible in-game, it's more obvious when you take a closer look on the model specially in side view,

WhiteRaven you did a great job on that. Rayved yours looks good too, although he kinda looks like Snake in my opinion.

Was going to post earlier saying his face looks a little flat. But as of this post, he's looking great! Good job!

Should the neck be included with the head model or is it a different part?

Alright thanks!

Can someone point me to a tutorial to import it in the game?

I like this Cid's head, but I also want Magochocobo's Cid textures to be released as well. He's really good at it, and it would be a shame to see so much work put into a model without a release.

for rayved
save it as a .3ds.
save texture as a bmp.
convert bmp to tex using img2tex
open 3ds in pcreator.
go to view uv coords. if the uv isnt there convert the 3ds in biturn to 3ds
in pcreator select the model from the drop down menu
options select battle or field
uv coord flip on y axis if needed
file open bitmap open the bmp of your texture.
edit texture id to an id. 0 will be fine for this
save it
open kimera
double click the part youre replacing.
a menu will come up
load p file
select your new head
hit apply and exit that window
adjust the position and size its better to double click and do it in that window to avoid errors.
texture options add or change the texture to the id you selected for the model

Thanks! Um could it be that you mistook Kimera for another app? Because Kimera doesn't allow me to select any part to replace. All I have is a Load and Save option.

You will need to open the skeleton file (either the HRC or the AA file, depending if you're editing the field or battle model) for the model you want to modify. Then double click on the part you want to change and the part editor will pop up. Now just open your model and then apply the changes. The new part wil replace the old one and then you just need to save the changes to the skeleton.

Good luck.

One more question. If my head appears white, does that mean the texture failed to be saved in the model file in a previous step?

Edit: Never mind I figured it out myself. I don't really understand the usefulness of the "Load BMP" step in PCreator if you have to load the texture seperatly once inside Kimera...

Aaand here's the result:
