I think the true meaning of Sephiroth in this song is "hey, we found this cool-sounding mystical Hebrew word we can use as the bad guy's name" :-D

Because I very much doubt that anyone at Square thinks we should understand Jewish mysticism to understand FF7's antagonist :-P

Hmm, that would be like some kind of subliminal message! Haha.

Who said anything about antagonists? I was only talking about sephiroth.

XD

Besides that, Square fails miserably at all religions and mythology....

"Sepher Sephiroth" - Book of numbers

Unexplained biblical references probably give tetsuya nomura a hardon.

Nomura gets hard-ons from unexplained references to all kinds of religions, Norse paganism being a firm favourite in FF7

Unexplained and usually erroneous...

Odin's appearance is certainly strange for that of a Norse god...

Although unexplained and erroneous references to mythology aren't the sole preserve of FF; hundreds of games do it.

Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi

Great anime, and you'll learn something about Norse Mythology.
