SOLVED: Which patch version should I use?

Which version are we using?
All the Mods we were making a couple of years ago were for Patch 1.2

Are we still not touching 1.4 because its unofficial?

Ye its not offical though its been out for at least 2 years its an installer.

I think theres more issues than fixes but don`t quote me on it

If you mean what I think you mean, it’s a complete fake and had no other purpose than to spread a virus/Trojan iirc.
However, that 'patch' has been out for years, so I'm not really sure what you're getting at.

Also, not sure this should be in troubleshooting.

1.4 patch (also known as the XP Patch), by AnimeVamp, is not a virus. It does, however, unnecessarily tweak with various system files without any good reason. For instance, it replaces Windows' midi patchset with one that doesn't sound as good, and affects ALL MIDI PLAYBACK ON THE WHOLE SYSTEM rather than just for this game. Other than that, it's mostly a compilation of patches by other people, poorly compiled without their permission.

In other words, it's worth avoiding. Stick with the official 1.02 patch.
