face done, wraps around her hair done and actually coloured green, shoulder finished including trademark kinks in the iron, buttons added to shorts.

Hey guys, just wanted to weigh in on this thread a little..

i've known GodGundam for... jeeze must be going on 10 years or so now! he's been a long term member of the Earths Special Forces mod team (the same place i started my career), and we worked together briefly on MechMod many moons ago.

if he's anything like me now, then he's likely just insanely busy and hasn't been able to return to working on Tifa. i'm not trying to make excuses, ultimately it's up to him to touch base. but speaking as a freelance artist, there have been times i've been so busy i haven't even been able to eat or sleep regularly, let alone be sociable or work on personal stuff. it's only recently i started saying NO to jobs, and YES to my own work.

I'll try to reach out to him and see if he can at least close the issue of whether or not he's going to continue working on her or not. but i wouldn't hold your breath... if you want my honest opinion? when people started posting ripped/illegal sh*t in this thread, he probably held his hands up and said "f*ck this!" and i can't really blame him for that.

and then as i read through the thread, i saw this...

man, i'd love to know where you work, if everything you've posted on this forum so far is an example of the standard you work at, and your attitude towards it, then i have some serious doubts as to your credentials.

anywho, i read

Almighty_gir no offense to and ur aloud ur opinion but questioning work ethics of other people is unprofessional and imatuer. Just because i dont know how rip models out of another game has nothing to do with modelling itself and i dont want to in the first place. The reason i started a new Tifa model from scratch was because i wanted to learn as much as i can about modelling a character as all i've done is still objects such as guns, building etc... The reason the Tifa model is was doin is on hold as well as the guns i was doin for Vincient is because of Birthday's, Weddings, Christmas and the fact that my sister was beaten by her ex and her kids are too scared to even stay in there own house, so iv'e been staying with them for the last month.

So dont try and attack people on the forums when you know nothing about them and whats happening around them

Yea neva put a magnet near a HDD just like speaker shouldn't be near them wipes the Data. I know this as im a qualified computer technician and recovered files from drives that had the same problem my own included. Send it in to get fixed although they wont guarantee data recovery. If you can format the drive so windows can read it again - you can use a format recovery tool to get the files back (it's what i did). Remember formatting a drive doesn't delete the files permanlty off it

No offence to the modeller the model itself is good but he looks way to flat like hes been squished.

If someone could get the permission to slightly modify it to fix it iltd be appreciated so it could be re-released with the Vincient's weapons re-model im doing

easiest way to see if something has a texture in 3ds max is just to add a UV Map modifier to the model and see if a texture shows up in the drop down box.

Hell you can tell before that because if it did the model should have been in the the Uv Box.

I do like the new Death scene my only strife with it is the fact that Sephiroth's sword looks round rather than a blade with a sharp edge.

I also like the idea of the new opening but it looks more like a trailer for a movie rather than a game intro (just my opinion)

Heya Guys sorry for the long delay in posting been away for a Wedding and two 30th Bday's.

Now that i'm back i can finally resume working on the gun models, i've started on the Shotgun already so will post an update when its actually starting to look like a gun lol

Well Square done the AC video and the tech demo so it's not ripping any models. But he's ripped models out of a game and put them into his own rendered video.

Just because your not playing as the models doesn't mean there not ripped, I'ts not worth the risk

You can use 3ds Max to Import/export OBJ and 3DS just make sure you use the right settings.

I'm using 3ds max 2012 and when i export to OBJ i just use the preset drop down menu there's one for blender which works perfectly.
(except that stupid Blender doesn't support smoothing groups, so always untick that lol)

I've never had any prob with importing and exporting with max for 5 years now, just look at videos on importing and exporting certain files.
