I always did kind of wonder how game characters held ALL that crap they carried .. LoL you would need like a chocobo caravan in FF just to carry all your damn inventory..

Actually i'm glad that the inventory is kind of left unrealistic.. After all its a different world.. maybe they do have pockets or bags that are of infinite holding.. ~_^

Pretty with 2 more hours of install and 3 hours of updates and bug fixes.. LoL I'm j/k i wish i could play it and give it a chance but i have not got the time to touch that game.. Or the pc for that matter.. I'm sure others will be happy though..

iirc there was one time in this forum that there was some agreement placed on the perfect system to run that game.. I think didnt it have a

Voodoo3 GFX card?

I cant remember much about what was decided upon but legacy systems would be much better to run ff7 on because that was what it was made for.. Then again.. we dont want to leave our beloved games behind as we burn through technology to newer better systems out there..

Cheat, but use ePSXe (F1 and F3 savestates)!

I played Mike Tysons punch out here at work.. and used the hell out of some savestates.. but it is also more difficult using a keyboard instead of a controller that doesnt respond well to movement combos..

Unfortunately, I am stuck with Windows. I installed FreeBSD and I can't get the bootloader on! Doh!

Does anyone know what to do? Will GNU/Grub work?

I actually thought of trying Linux.. Maybe Gentoo.. But if i ever did that i realized that i am going to have to get a new computer so i can put it on my old one or now current one.. As of right now it seems that you need windows to run most things .. I dont have the power to mess with emulators and what not so i am sticking with XP Pro.. and really i dont have problems with it..

about hd crashes.. That scares me.. I would probably cry if one of my drives crashed.. I really need to back up..

To get the Butcher:

Make sure you DO NOT sell the original Bronze Bangle that Cloud has equiped at the beginning of the game. Leave it on him until you sell all of the other ones you have, because you MUST have that exact Bronze Bangle

You must have Barret in your party whenever possible.

Also, you CANNOT buy ANY Chocobo Stables.

Fight the Lost Number Directly after meeting Sephiroth in the Shinra Mansion, when he gives you the Destruct Materia. DO NOT get Vincent afterward. Leave the door locked.

Right before you fight Hojo, put the Buster sword and the bronze bangle you saved from the beginning back on Cloud. Fight Hojo with these equipped, and then once you are on disk three, go to the Shinra Mansion (Cloud must still be wearing the bronze bangle and the Buster Sword) and open the coffin Vincent is found in. Instead of Vincent, the Butcher will pop out.

The Butcher hates Chocobos, and will chop them up whenever he sees them. Take him to the Chocobo farm, it's pretty funny!

No he is really serious! It can be done! I lost my save game, but when he started hacking the chocobos apart i really laughed.. (you cant see a lot because it is censored in that annoying game way)

The host is running at a 10mbps connection, which means people can be downloading at the speed of 1200KB/s.

I don't know if my calculations are correct, so i hope someone could correct me..

Well, anyway, my site is having a 10mbps connection, so people could get a maximum download speed of hmm.. lets say.. 10mb/s ? Well, thats cool don't you think so? Its a fast server.

Uh how the hell did you pull of getting a 10 mb/s connection? If you are running the server what are you doign it through a university? Or are you paying for hosting?

Yeah huge.. In FFTA you have certain rules for battle.. like you cant fire arrows so now archer.. and you cant do certain things.. if you do then you lose that player to jail.. There are referees you cant kill, and the whole thing just seemed really stupid to me.. There are more differences, but i think if they would have just redone the original it would have been better..

They could have even gone as far as slapping a new story with new chars to the original, but they totally ruined it for me with the advent of the prison thing, while seemingly decimating any story.. i didnt see one, but i didnt play that much of it either.. only a few battles before saying.. seesh this is lame, and giving up..
