I have a problem that isn't actually a problem, but I was curious if anyone knew the cause.

When my laptop is running on battery, FF7 works at half speed. When plugged in, it's fine.

Anyone know why? Tried searching the forum but got nothing. I'm sure it's something fairly obvious but I don't have a lot of experience with laptops.

Thanks!

I'd be willing to bet your laptop's CPU is going into some sort of power saving mode. How this is accessed varies from laptop to laptop by what cruddy manufacturer-specific software it uses to control this, but it's probably in the system tray or the control panel.

Yep, that was it. Found it in the advanced power options. Thanks! Like I said, it doesn't matter much because I only get about 3 hours worth of battery life with moderate usage, so I pretty much don't play without it being plugged in.
